I'm not saying Kabir should just sympathize with everything she's doing. No, not at all! But I'm saying that he should definitely talk to his family about what they had done and their past. He can't just ignore it and pretend it never happened and move on. If he's getting angry at Pooja, he should be equally as angry at his family. Or, if he really wants to forgive and forget (which I really hope is not the case since what the Mittals have done is unforgivable in my opinion), then his anger should not only be directed towards Pooja. But you're right, no one can be as perfect as our Neil Khanna <3 Kya karein, he set the bar really high for male leads in all of ITV with the character of Neil <3
Jumping in (sorry, haha!) - I think he tried to reach out to her at first. He sympathised with her. Whilst the rest of the family was too busy being bitter about her actions, his first reaction was to feel sorry (and guilty?) for what happened to Ashok Sharma and his daughters. It's only when Pooja was being really petty that his stance changed - first with cleaning the place where they were standing, then sending the mithai and finally the chillar drama. From how they have developed Kabir so far, I do think he would try to understand Pooja's psyche and break those walls that she has constructed around her.
Maybe I am being too hopeful but for me, the tashan should be based on ideologies and not something petty - like getting the house back or something. Because of this tashan, Pooja and Kabir should understand each other better. It should get Kabir to question his family and hold them accountable for their actions. Pooja definitely needs someone who understands her. It doesn't have to be romantic. She needs a good friend, and I hope at the end of the tashan, Kabir becomes that friend and confidant she needs.
Going back to Neil for a bit, he was TOO perfect (goals tbh) until the leap happened. The whole custody drama ruined his character ....
