Or, if he really wants to forgive and forget (which I really hope is not the case since what the Mittals have done is unforgivable in my opinion), then his anger should not only be directed towards Pooja. But you're right, no one can be as perfect as our Neil Khanna <3 Kya karein, he set the bar really high for male leads in all of ITV with the character of Neil <3

Jumping in (sorry, haha!) - I think he tried to reach out to her at first. He sympathised with her. Whilst the rest of the family was too busy being bitter about her actions, his first reaction was to feel sorry (and guilty?) for what happened to Ashok Sharma and his daughters. It's only when Pooja was being really petty that his stance changed - first with cleaning the place where they were standing, then sending the mithai and finally the chillar drama. From how they have developed Kabir so far, I do think he would try to understand Pooja's psyche and break those walls that she has constructed around her.

Maybe I am being too hopeful but for me, the tashan should be based on ideologies and not something petty - like getting the house back or something. Because of this tashan, Pooja and Kabir should understand each other better. It should get Kabir to question his family and hold them accountable for their actions. Pooja definitely needs someone who understands her. It doesn't have to be romantic. She needs a good friend, and I hope at the end of the tashan, Kabir becomes that friend and confidant she needs.

Going back to Neil for a bit, he was TOO perfect (goals tbh) until the leap happened. The whole custody drama ruined his character ....

I think there this blog post which is sorta related to this debate we have in this post right now. Do check out. It might contribute to our discussion ☺

I don't completely subscribe to her views but it is an interesting take, and I agree the show has become judgy.

Someone mentioned Durga and Avni. That's sort of missing the whole point of this show.

This show is about a grey female lead. If they change it and make it about positive female leads (above mentioned) then they can be very well make a EHT2 or NK2.

@Bold: Maybe that's why we are finding this tashan really weird...it doesnt seem "balanced" for a tashan should be about getting back a house when there is so much more of a backstory, pain, trauma etc that needs to be dealt with!

And yes I agree. Pooja really needs SOMEONE by her side right now..even if not supporting her, at least saying "I'm there for you." Even her sister has left now...she literally has no one! She needs a friend right now, but she keeps pushing everyone away. I wish..I so WISH that despite her pushing him away, Kabir stays by her side. She needs a friend, not another enemy.

And I agree...Neil was actually GOALS...literally find yourself a guy like neil khanna and dont settle for anything less! I dont even consider the leap a part of NK anymore tbh! For me, NK ended after AvNeil's suhaag raat😆☺️

Forget positive or grey shades, the way the episodes are shaping up, it looks like the noble hero is going to teach the arrogant heroine a lesson. Someone compared it to ladla earlier (maybe in a different thread), Kabir-Pooja confrontation scenes have started to look like that now. Or maybe I am biased and jumping to conclusions.

I was trying to post a screenshot of this post, thank you for sharing this! Her end note though, LOL.

I loved this bit in particular:

"I liked the original character dynamics of Pooja being ruthless towards the Mittals, but having a sorta moral center that made her avoid targeting Aarush/Kavya (while she was undergoing a personal crisis/not actively f****** with her plans); and Kabir being a well-intentioned dude, but one who was by no means infallible, and had quite a few mental issues thanks to his dad/Vyom/the complicated situation with Kavya + Aarush. Now he’s a superhero with unrealistic levels of happy hormones and justice juice, and she’s a supervillain with no feelings other than malicious ones. It’s all very cartoonishly good v/s evil, with the two leads being laughably simplistic black and white characters."

I mentioned this elsewhere - it is unfortunate that the writers had to revamp the show without much notice. Tbh, I think they are doing a decent job in trying to get the attention of TV audiences. The increase in ratings is comforting and hopefully that would allow the writers to look into these issues closely. It should not be a good versus evil thing. Pooja is emotionally damaged, she is not evil.

Kabir isn't going to leave her alone, haha! Hopefully while doing so, he realises that she needs healing, more than anything. He doesn't have to "save her" - he just needs to lend her a listening ear. Right now, there is no communication between the two. They are only taking their anger and frustration out on each other, but they can't keep showing us that. We will get bored at some point. Likewise, I hope Pooja realises that not all men are the same, and that Kabir is not his father. It is a drama, so I suppose she would be able to trust him at some point, but hopefully that is justified.

@Bold: SAME.

That was me. 😂

I just don't like judgmental tone the show has taken. Rest let me see how the writers shape the story once the trp have picked up and WC has ended.

After all they did clear up the bahu Vs bahu mess.

When Kabir was intervening between Pooja and PK at the cliff and he came between them, I thought for sure Pooja would at least have a twinge of surprise or shock that Kabir really just came to her rescue. But then I thought a little more into it. I don't think she's at that stage yet where she can see the good in ANYONE with the last name of Mittal. In all honesty, I think she considered Kabir's intervention at the cliff a foolish act rather than a heroish one. Which I guess makes sense for the way her character is written. Slowly I do want to see some development in her though..even if its just a 30 second pause where she considers that the Jr. Mittals are not really at fault and aren't worth her anger.

She has witnessed Kabir facing his dad about his ideology and hypocrisy, she has also seen how he defended Kavya during the widow issue and how he treats her well, his love for his family etc , she was privy to many things and she could see everyone for who they are, PK for being hypocrite and evil and ready to use anyone for his own benefits even his own son, Chanda chachi for standing always with PK just to keep leading the comfort life she has, Dhruv for being a meek character not able to take a firm stand in front of his father but also for being someone who really loved her as Jhanvi and was quite understanding for long, so it's not like she doesn't know everyone for who they are but as you said she isn't ready to see the good in anyone who is a Mittal, her pain is too big to even give the junior ones the benefit of doubt
