Kabir Singh made no sense

I watched Kabir Singh yesterday and while this may have already been discussed somewhere else, but how was this even a famous Telegu movie to begin with?

I was actually trying hard not to fall asleep towards the end. I am baffled how a girl who gets slapped is shown to go back to the guy. The movie literally made no sense. Kudos for Shahid for doing a great job in performing his character, but the movie is extremely silly to say the least. I had high expectations considering everyone kept raving the original, but this was non-sense.

Life itself makes little sense. Last few days I've been reading here how Rang de basanti was a great movie and people should learn from that. Like what should people learn from that? If your friend dies for whatever reason then kill a minister and then go on the radio about it. And then die. Like whatever. Sad and rubbish way to die IMO.

Finally, totally agree. Just watched the movie and it’s one of the most idiotic concept with no storyline.

So he is an ass of a boyfriend, who beats up people, swears at them and beats up his gf who he supposedly love. He is a classic abusive boyfriend who likes to control everything in his gf’s life.

The worse was the end, so after all this the gf somehow ended up marrying a different guy(most likely a decent guy), but then she leaves him to be with her abuser ..like wtf!!

I can’t believe this movie grossed this much money...super duper overrated.

Ps: the whole “baby baby” chant throughout the whole movie was so cringeworthy 🤮

I haven’t seen Kabir Singh but have watched the telegu version. It’s more annoying than silly to me. It pissed me off like no other. The movie sucks.

Vijay Devarakonda's screen presence and acting made all the difference from movie being supbar to special. Shahid though is a very good actor but boring to eyes.

I watched in the theater, some scenes were funny, music was great.. the girl who played the heroine (not Kiara) was hot.... Yea that's about it.

what amazes me is that they try to make it look like kabir is just a flawed person who is going through heartbreak, he is not flawed, he is mentally unstable! a guy who does surgeries drunk, chases his maid down the street, injects himself with a drug coz his gf doesn't go to his house on time, threatens and abuses people, he needs to see a psychiatric doctor and get immediate help, but in the film they don't address any of that, they just act like he is a angry guy that is upset

i didn't find anything entertaining about it, it was uncomfortable to watch, for me kabir is a very unlikable character, and preeti was weak

Just recently watched the movie .... I think the slap bit has been given too much exaggeration ... I mean even she slapped him and that was even before he did ... not many said anything about it! ... 🤔

Also he has issues with his temper ... but his reactions were mostly reciprocation ... when he bit up the guy in the beginning he was after he punched him!

He is a flawed character fosho but I think there's a lot of over exaggeration too! ... I also thought before watching he must be worse than what I had seen but wasn't the case!

Well Preeti was as stubborn and pyscho like Kabir Singh, made for each other couple. So it made all sense.
