I see. Tamil people do have strong roots. I have a Tamil Malaysian 6th generations removed; he and his siblings still speak Tamilians fluently.

What speciality in these languages are, if someone speaks Malayalam or Telugu with me I can understand. If I speak Tamil with them they will understand, if not thoroughly. We don't need to learn it specifically. May be converse with eachother could be bit difficult.
I used to watch Malayalam or Telugu movies often, so understand these languages become easier😆
