I meant intent under law which has NOTHING to do with perception of audience. Section 375 of the IPC has a very clear definition of rape. When judges interpret the law and make judgements they look at the intent of the individual and the specific circumstances. Trying to win a point by simplistically saying any man who have sex with a woman before marriage thinking they are going to get married and then happens to marry someone else, is committing rape is just fake news.
There are many thinks that Anurag did wrong in that track and you are welcome to focus on that but there is no need to throw words like rape unnecessarily.
I am talking about perception of audience because it is a tv show. Original post is saying that Mr. Bajaj is blackmailing Prerna which is against law, and she is correct but ultimately it is Prerna who has to file a complaint against Mr. Bajaj, like it was Prerna who had to file a complaint against Anurag when he humiliated her.
Think from perspective of Prerna in Komolika marriage track, she did not know that Anurag has married Komolika because she blackmailed him, Anurag had coitus with her then humiliated her and married Komolika.
Anurag committed bigamy but Prerna or Komolika had to file a case against him, Prerna could have filed a rape case against Anurag, similarly now she has to file a complaint against Mr. Bajaj.
I don't know how can I be clearer about this
