I am quite taken aback to witness the forum sustains even after what ? 4-5 years....Wow !
Noone's gonna read this because - 1) noone is here 2) this is too long for your patience
But I'mma talk to myself and write about my experience of rewatching NAUC after almost 5 years , I was in middle school when I used to religiously follow this show par mera dhyaan zyadatar romance pe hi atka rehta tha ( I adored both Niraj and Nibir as long as they lasted , coming to that later ).
First and foremost the show focused on body dysmorphia , okay ! More than 1 million cases in India itself. People being instructed to be of a certain shape & size * especially women ofcourse * , having a proportionate figure or else being name called " too flat " " too skinny " or " fat/massive " blah blah ! Also , complexities regarding our complexion , of not having a perfect face etcetra etcetra.
I wonder what's beauty ? Is there a parameter to measure it ? Not really !
In case of Nisha , I loved when she questioned herself " kya ladki honeka matlab baas sundar hona hain ? , kya mujh jaisi paatli ladki ko koi pasand nahi karega ? "
She spoke out for all of us who are insecure about our bodies , wearing oversized t-shirts , concealers to hide our 'flaws' . This show was one of the most realistic shows to ever hit the indian television tbh
Secondly , Nisha's molestation and how devastating can it be , not particularly for 'that' moment but for a lifetime.
Again they portrayed how hard it is to share this with someone , it takes a lot of courage , How brave was my girl Nisha ? * kisiki nazar na lage meri bacchi ko * but again IT HELPS.
So Let's proceed..to Romance!🤪 * firse me being a hopeless romantic*
Niraj Vs Nibir. Umm...Vaisa its more like Niraj AND Nibir. Nahi ?
Even though Niraj didn't end up together but Viraj was as important as Kabir in Nisha's life. Viraj gave Nisha a 'purpose' of life , encouraged her to 'dream' , taught her to 'love'. Nisha fell for Viraj , jayas hain ! She fell for Viraj both as Nisha & Aarti but Viraj , he fell for 'Aarti' alone. * sighs *
Was Aarti , Nisha herself ? If you ask me , NO ! Nisha and Aarti were polar opposites.
For instance Aarti called Viraj ' Viru ' , Nisha wouldn't even dare , she was inspired by Viraj Singh Rathode , her " Viraj Sir ". Nisha desperately tried to conceal her identity and did things Nisha would never do , as Aarti.
So in conclusion I believe Viraj never loved Nisha , he loved Aarti undoubtedly but not 'miss Nisha'. And after Nibir marriage the ways Viraj opted for to pursue Nisha at all costs further strengthens my belief.
Though I must mention he was misguided time and again by Gayatri , Kiara , Sumit.
The one thing that Niraj brutally lacked imo was trust which eventually brought an end to it.
Jo hota hain acche keliye hota hain nahi ?
So here comes Kabir. One trip jisne Nisha ke life ko 360 ghumake rakhdiya. They pretended to be husband wife , mom-dad , fir akhir me shaadi tak karli ! * oh my my ! Nisha aur shaadi !!! *
Then they parted ways paar kismaat ne unhe firse miladiya.
Kabir , he fell for that Nisha , the jhalli , ladaku Nisha , he mended her broken heart. With every passing second their relationship grew stronger.
Kabir agreed to marry her just like that ? To save her from humiliation ?
The same Kabir insisted her to get back to Viraj on the wedding day.
Why was he this caring & sacrificial ? * cries *
I do think the turning point in their story was when Kabir cameback even though Nisha requested him to leave after realising her mistake ( agreeing to marry Kabir because she was mad at Viraj for marrying Kaira *facepalm* ). Fir jhoot moot ke 3 mahine , the more they tried to drift apart the closer they became.
Nibir dance on the sangeet ceremony deserves a special mention because THAT WAS IT !
Though Kabir's mom created unnecessary misunderstandings between the two * kyun kyun * but they eventually found their way back to each other.
I genuinely liked their journey better , their bond , their trust , their sacrificial attitude everything just seemed right ! complete !
In conclusion Nibir & Niraj were interdependent on each other.
Niraj taught you to fall in love and Nibir taught you to heal & told you " hey ! love can happen twice" and they came out stronger.
This 'one true love ' is a myth , you are allowed to move on , you are allowed to fall for someone new , you're allowed to take a second chance.
What else ! I'm gonna pretend that Nisha & Kabir are living their happily ever after ! Kabir is now a choreographer ( common I want him to go to london with nisha ) , Viraj is with Kaira (?) , well I do hope he finds love ! Aur baaki saab sukh shanti se rehrahe hain ( except Gayati , Priyanka , Sumit , Leela , Vasundhara and that Bhabhiji etc )
