Imagine building a house, a beautiful one, filled with hopes and dreams. But because the foundation is not strong enough, it all crumbles one day and kills the hopes and dreams.
-This is how I would describe DD to someone who wants to watch the show.
Dear writers/creatives,
Just Kuch bhi on the name of content, no wait, scratch that, content, creativity and logic jaye bhaar mein, kuch bhi on the name of TRP.
After the fire scene, it`s been down the drain, no, not the chemistry, the writing. I doubt that there is a saving grace to this sham of a marriage. It`s an absolute mockery and it’s unacceptable. I`ve seen mockery with fake priests, fake mantras, hec kI`ve even seen a FL marrying two men on the same mandap and I thought that that was the limit. This DD one comes very close. How are they going to justify that, by showing that divorce was not done, hence, marriage is void. My dear writers, the marriage is not legal for sure, but what about the traditional aspect of it? And it sickens me for sure, that this crap garners TRP. I mean we`ve grown so acceptable to this mockery that they keep on dishing it at us.
I took a break from ITV sometime ago and watched countless dramas;Korean, Chinese, Pakistani, Turkish and never have I seen the concept of marriage being represented in such a way. There’s absolutely no sanctity in what we ar ebeing shown. I`m not an advocate of culture or anything, but it’s all so illogical that it sickens me.
I mean, we have a ML who, we understand, loves his wife. Yet he asks her to stab by his side at his sister’s engagement to prove her commitment to him, when he KNEW all along that she had to save her sister that day. Fine, forget that, we have a ML who is the Vanshaj, the shield of the two girls who will save the universe and he cannot make a plan to escape this sham. Are you kidding me, or are you kidding logic? His wife his out there fighting demons and he is orchestrating a fake wedding with sindoor and mangalsutra? Is that what I should understand by love?
I have been hoping for a loophole in this wedding, and tbh I`m still hoping there’s one somewhere, but frankly I can`t see a way out. The divorce not happening doesn`t work for me. Whatever bathroom scene we have ahead is a kind of candy after all the crap. She should pack her bags and go away from that madhouse. But no, ITV heroines could be shown as powerful, but self-respect toh bilkul nahi hogi.
I`m gonna watch this show this week and the next because the actors have worked hard for it and because I wanna see how they prove this as fake. I can`t see how a mangalsutra can be fake when even a black thread used to constitute as one back in the days.
What do you people make of this?
