Hello everyone.

After the last few episodes and all speculations going on here, this new OS is the result of pure frustration 😆

So please bear with all the nonsense 😆

As always all cristicisms are welcome.

Happy reading.

“Fall in love and you'll know how easy it is to be jealous.”

― Nitya Prakash

“All's fair in love and war," said Ron brightly, "and this is a bit of both.”

“Di!”

Divya jumped on Drishti and hugged her. It hadn’t been long since they found each other and every single moment they would get alone, Divya wouldn’t let it go to waste.

“Arrey Divi. What is this?” Drishti asked her laughing. “You will make me fall. Be careful.”

“Kya Di! Even if you fall it is okay na?! It has been few days since we could talk properly you and me.” She said sadly. “Thank god they all went to the temple and you came up with this plan. Oy hoy. Meri Di toh bohot intelligent gayi ab!” she said playfully, pinching her cheek.

“I was already intelligent, thank you very much. And this is not a plan okay? Someone indeed had to clean up this garden after all the mess due to this picnic. I didn’t want to go with them, that is why I said I will do it. Lekin tum? Tumne kaha tha ki tum meri madat karegi. Kaha gayab ho gayi thi? Haan? Bolo.”

Divya was about to give her a reply when they were disturbed by a throat clearing, making them turn in the concern direction.

“I don’t mean to disturb you, but Dee I am here to haan. You once again forgot about me!” the person said, pretending to be sad.

Divya burst out laughing and smacked him on his arm, leaving Drishti confused.

“Oh please! Don’t start being a drama queen again okay?! I didn’t forget. I was talking to my Di. Anyway come here. I will introduce you. Di, I disappear because I had to go fetch him at the airport and I didn’t tell you about it because I wanted it to be a surprise. Aman, this is Drishti, my sister. And Di, this is Aman, my brother.” Divya introduced them, leaving Drishti with a big smile plastered on her face.

“Oh so you are Aman!” she said, extending her right hand to greet him. “Nice to finally meet you. She told me about everyone in your family. You can’t know enough how thankful I am to all…”

Drishti didn’t get the time to finish her sentence, for Aman hugged her tightly, completely ignoring her hand. To say Drishti was shocked, was an understatement. She looked at Divya, who shrugged her shoulders and smiled at her with teary eyes.

“I am so glad to, at last, meet you, Drishti.” Aman said, finally leaving her. “I have heard so much about all these years, and I am so so happy Dee found her sister after so long. I guess you can imagine how painful it has been for her to be away from her twin sister.” He said looking at Divya with affection.

“Yes I can imagine,” Drishti said, taking her hand, “for I’ve been like this too for all these years. But we are together now, and it is all that matters. I will forever be grateful to you and your family for having taking care of her and pampering her like a family member.” She finished with gratitude.

“Arrey, why are you talking so formally now? Of course, she is family. I may be barely a year older than her, but she is my little sister, just like you have always been too. You may have not been with us, but we’ve all considered you as a family member. Dee would always talk about you and it’s been like we’ve always known who you are. I know while being here, we won’t be able to acknowledge each other like family, but know that your brother is always here for you. No matter what.” Aman told her with sincerity, while taking her hand to show her he meant what he said, and placing the other around Divya’s neck, leaving both sisters teary eyed.

They were all so absorbed in their conversation, that they didn’t hear the others arrive.

“What is happening here?”

They all jumped, startled and turned in the voice’s direction.

Divya and Drishti were surprise to find both their husbands looking at them, with a not so pleased look plastered on the faces. They recovered themselves and tried to get away from Aman, but this latter was still holding of them firmly.

Rakshit and Shikhar made their way toward them, making the girls fidget nervously, while Aman was still serene.

“Who are you?” Rakshit asked bluntly, making Divya and Drishti tensed.

“Woh, Mr. Shergill.” Drishti decided to introduce their guest, for Divya seemed to be tongue-tied. For once. Definitely, when it was the least needed. “This is Aman. This is... He is Divya’s br…” she started, only to be cut short by Aman himself.

“Hello! Mr. Shergill. Well Mr. Shergill times two then.” He said jokingly, looking at both brothers. “I am Aman, Divya’s best friend. I just arrived from the airport.”

Both the sisters looked at each other agape and then looked at him dumbfounded, earning a wink from him, which didn’t go unnoticed by their husbands.

“Best friend?” Shikhar asked confused. “Dee, you said you were going to pick up someone important. I thought it would be a family member or a girl friend.”

Divya, who finally came out of her uneasiness, realized what her brother meant to do, and she laughed internally. She remembered she gave him a summary of her life these days, and he hadn’t been pleased about it. At all. She snapped out of the numbness and glared at Shikhar.

“Why? Is having a best boy friend forbidden now?”

“That’s not what I meant. I am just asking why you didn’t mention it.” He snapped back not wanting to give up.

“Oh acha. So he is Dee’s best friend. Welcome here then, but may I know why are you holding his hand, Mrs. Shergill?” Rakshit asked, glaring at their entwined hands. “Is he your best friend too now?” he asked, obviously annoyed.

Drishti attempted to leave Aman’s hand, but he was adamant and held tighter.

“Nahi. Woh main…”

Drishti was so caught off guard, that she didn’t know what to say.

“Arrey of course I am her friend too.”

“Kab se?” Rakshit inquired, being more and more pissed.

“Since my arrival, of course!” Aman said chuckling. “Now, no one in their right mind would resist this beautiful smile of hers, right Drishti?” he asked winking at her again.

Drishti blushed and looked at him with big eyes. “What the hell was wrong with him suddenly? Why is he behaving this way? Oh god, Mr. Shergill is going to lecture me yet again when we are alone now.” A look at her husband, and she knew the man was not to be mess around with.

Rakshit was stunned. Friend? Beautiful smile? Who the hell did he think he was, flirting with his wife openly in from of him like that?

“I see you made yourself very comfortable.” Rakshit taunted. “Are you always like this? With anyone’s wife?”

“Of course not, Mr. Shergill. I am like this only with the ones whose husbands are about to marry someone else while still being married.” Aman said the most seriously possible.

Rakshit was too taken aback at his audacity to react and Drishti, at last, understood why Aman was behaving this way. While it warmed her heart, someone was taking a stand for her in this shitty situation; the same heart ached for her husband, for she knew he must have been hurt by his words.

Before she could say a word, Shikhar asked suspiciously: “Anyway, since when are you two acting friendly with each other? Dee I thought you hated Mrs. PA.”

“Why are you being the curious husband type all of a sudden Shikhar?” Divya asked sarcastically. “Anyway to answer you, yes we are in talkative terms now as we stay in the same house, and we have our everyday’s tasks to do together as the daughter in laws of this house. I thought I hated her too, but I don’t. Acha Aman, come on. I will introduce to the other family members.” Saying she turned around and made her way inside, without waiting for her brother, for she knew he hadn’t finish pulling their legs yet.

Shikhar, who wanted to get at the bottom of this matter, followed her inside, obviously irritated with this new arrival. Why he was feeling so, he didn’t want to think about it for now.

Rakshit cleared his throat and extended his hand.

“I don’t think I was properly introduced yet. I am Rakshit Shergill. Drishti’s husband.” He said, emphasizing on his wife’s name.

Drishti couldn’t believe her ears. Did he really just acknowledge her as his wife in front of someone else? They shared an eye lock but were interrupted by Aman, who returned Rakshit’s handshake.

“Nice to meet you Rakshit.” He replied politely and turning to Drishti, he said: “Drishti, why don’t you show me the way to Divya, so she introduces me to everyone?”

Before Drishti could give him a reply, Rakshit took another step towards them and snatched his wife’s hand from his grip.

“Excuse me Aman, but you’ll have to do without her. I have to discuss something really important with my wife.”

With that, he held her hand tightly and dragged a bemused Drishti to their room.

Aman stretched her hands over his head and smirked.

“Oh man. My stay here is going to be fun. Shergills, prepare yourselves. This brother is going to make your life a hell for messing with his sisters.”

Taking a deep breath, he also made his way inside to find his little sister, who he was sure, would have a lot of wicked ideas to help him in his plan.

I had a huge grin after reading this. Loved it. Very beautifully written.

I wish the makers of the show stop making us sad and add a fun element. Bcz right now they are just enjoying sadistic pleasure.
