Waise, I remembers pagers, Was becoming very popular at that time. I don’t think Cell phones were out for general consumers as yet. I left in late 97 and I don’t think anyone in my circle even had heard of or used a cell phone then. Cell phones became an everyday thing by 2000/ 2001.

You are right ..98 me call charges were 7 rs for outgoing and 3 rs for incoming.. I had mobile coz I started working early..Lekin baat karne ko kisi ke paas nahi mobile nahi tha..Tab mobile se msg bhi nahi kar paate the... 2000 tak their was user friendly charges and lots of scheme..Even handset got cheap so many more users started using mobiles... 2003 tak tk reliance ne sanchar kranti hi la di..

(By the emails ka I knew in 97 while I was studying web and multimedia designing ... Lekin as I said..There were not many users and internet was not as common..So my first email I made was in 1999 via Yahoo .Com.. what good days were those..

ohk.. i read mobile phone was introduced on 31 july 95 so i hought it came in market also at d same time... bt itne time baad aya didnt know dt

Coz there were no cell towers and proper network..Also the charges were very high..Plus the handset ...( I did bought my second hand nokia set for 4000 rs.. )
