Akash and Khushi have been together more than Arnav and Khushi, hence there is a chance that Khushi knows Akash much more than she does Arnav. She must have had some sort of a crush on Akash, the well behaved, principled, responsible son of her mentor. She must have put him up on a pedestal like she does her father, to move on from him to Arnav, she will need a strong push towards Arnav and this is what he needs to bring her into his arms. Khushi seeing Arnav's vulnerability is sure to push her onto him. In chapter 3 we have seen that Khushi is starting to thaw towards Arnav.

She has decided to give a chance to the marriage and the first step is already taken by her
