To me the season 1 ending looked totally unconvincing and didn't accord with what we saw in hundreds of episodes before that. Prerna's love, reverence, and trust for RB was godlike. She literally worshipped him. That's the reason she didn't want to marry even 20 years post RB's death and was content with his memories.

Ekta wanted to appease herself and a particular fangroup with that ridiculous soul wala ending.

I believe Prerna loved both of them but the circumstances in which she fell were different. With Anurag, it was the first love, which is innocent and pure. With Bajaj, it was true love, which underwent many problems and matured over the years. In their relationship, trust and respect came before love. But that doesn't mean she didn't love Anurag.

I have never ever debated whether she loved Anurag or Bajaj. She loved both of them deeply, at different points in life.

When she was in twenties, she loved Anurag , when she was middle aged she loved Rishabh Bajaj.

If she had not loved Bajaj, she wouldn't have shot Anurag and tried killing him before that horrific 2nd 20 year leap.

That was ultimate. And long before that, RB tried to break off their engagement, but she didn't want to. She had moved on from AB due to multiple factors. It was her decision to stay with RB through her life as his wife.

Bajaj hasn't arrived yet and we cant accuse him of something that Bajaj 1.0 did...

We can discuss on how CV's whitewashed Anu 2.0 but it's pointless to compare with Bajaj 1.0.
