Bhool Bhulaiya was a remake of a Malayalam film.
Sequel ke liye script kaha se copy karenge? There was no sequel to it in Malayalam.
Also it was established that the woman (played by Vidya) had delusions, so how can there be a sequel. What is the continuity here? Since there was no ghost, it cannot be haunting a new set of people.

This looks like a different film but the name of the character is the same.
Manichitratalam was made in Malayalam and then remade in Telegu, Tamil and Hindi. But this one was made only in Tamil I think.
Chalo content to mil gaya Bollywood ko, to copy from.

Manichitrathazu was never remade in telugu. Chandramukhi was dubbed in telugu. And Chandramukhi is not authentic remake of Manichitrathazu, Bhoolbhulaiyya was coz it was made by the same director Priyadarshan. Chandramukhi glorified Rajni's character a lot coz of his stardom. This Nagavalli is a sequal to Chandramukhi and was first made in kannada n was called Aptharakshaka. The hero vishnuvardhan died suddenly and people started calling the movie jinxed. It was then remade in telugu n tamil and that crew faced many setbacks too. So nagavalli actually became part of spooky folklore 😁
Bollywood ko na sirf movie story but promotion ka masala bhi mil gaya with this. 😁

Ya. Chandramukhi was the only one in which there was a double role. But I do think it was a remake. That's what I have read anyways, I have only seen a few scenes which were the same. Dunno if the story was the same.
Ofcourse Bhool Bhulaiya was a complete copy.
As far as South films are concerned - I only watch Malayalam films (coz I don't understand Tamil or Telegu), so I had no idea about this sequel in Telegu.
The stories behind it are extremely interesting. Bollywood will totally try to milk these controversies. I wonder who is producing it? KJO? Ekta?
I have never seen the first one
Lol here people don't like karthik I guess but outside forum he has build strong fanbase and now can open movies. Happy for him being an outsider and making his mark
first of all what is bohol bhulia lol, okay finally figured its about bhul bhulaiya.......
Secondly, Kartik ...ugh! believe me I care less for insider/outsider......but recently watched luka chupi......and acting is not that great. looks to pehle se hi pasand nahi the.......don't understand the hype of Karthik aryan.....🥱
Good choice. 👍🏼

I thought everyone in Kerala understand Tamil. Didn't rowdy baby become a huge rage there? I heard that vijay & Allu Arjun are massively popular in kerala
