HONESTLY, we are barely shocked at the antics of rich industrialists and how they get away with so much scandal. If it isn’t defaulting on bank loans, the lot is converting to another religion to marry their lovers and getting away without a divorce and hefty alimony. One among these is a well-known Mumbai figure who converted and moved to Dubai to live with missus number two. But now we hear he is quite smitten by the lures of a South Indian actress and hoping for a round three. Oops, did we mention the gentleman is almost 80 years old?

Whoever it is, if he has converted into Islam, he can marry 2 more times.... Obviously he will overlook the part of the law, where one is supposed to love and look after all the wives equally......

No offence and I hate to discuss politics here, but why does India allow Muslim men to marry multiple times? Why allow triple talaq and other religious rules for other religions too like Hindu, etc? Is India really secular country then?? At the least, they should ban multiple marriages and triple talaq. Or has the triple talaq already been banned? The organized religions are already against women and government proclaiming to be secular but actually siding with such religions and their men’s rules don’t help women. This multiple marriage is disgusting. 🤢

When it comes to religion, the law is quite tricky because if the government wants to change something, they don't want to offend the religion. The procedure to get the law or rule passed itself is tedious.

So, it's not that easy unless there's a study where it shows that getting married multiple times has been done many times for no reason. As in it is something that muslim men have taken advantage of as they did with the triple talaq or instant divorce.

I think this was the case in Indonesia so they changed the rules to limit a man to only 2 wives. As far as other muslim countries go, if a man is in charge of these rules I doubt this would change!
