Standard trope - getting ready for marriage?

The show has been interesting so far with all its characters - even the cuckoo family. Why is this family so OTT happy and cheerful? Must be some reason behind it.

Coming to the point - they have set the standard background for the leads forced/contract marriage - father with a heart condition - desperate to see the girl married, girl with a golden heart, guy under duress plus bad reputation, someone taking girl/guy pictures, broken engagements (one done, one upcoming) ...

Once it is out of the way, Pragati can start poking around and discover the mysteries in the OTT family and Raghbir.

I hope the pace keeps up and doesn't get lost in family drama.
