So what I meant is other than jumping in fire to get the chunni for his mother (before Prerna entered his life) he had done nothing to solidify the statement, post Prerna's entry his priorities changed, and The Ego Centric Mohini Basu could not tolerate being sidelined in her precious Jaan, Anu's life, hence all the unnecessary hatred against Prerna.

Yes they have show many instances now when Anu has not listened to his mom and does what he wants, but also instances where he has. Including getting married to komo. He walked away from the pandal and then walked back in at her insistence. Let’s not forget that.

Each time after Naveen and komllika, even though Mohini was most at fault he has forgiven her by ignoring the extent of her wrongdoing. As a son he is not willing to see beyond the periphery because he doesn’t want not acknowledge the true extent of her horribleness.

Anurag is humans and jn his attempt to be true to himself and also love his mom he obeys her sometimes to be detriment of prerna and his relationship with prerna. Thankfully it is not always!

But he has already already told her once. He also married her a temple ceremony and has sex with her. Yes he needs to reconcile with her again, but dude has already taken things pretty far. Even during his wedding to komo or through tbe period after that he could never tell his mom I LOVE PRERNA. It was always u made a promise to prerna. He actions are what allow his mom to think that he is just being a good guy helping prerna because she loves him.

But as you said not always! That's the main thing, he though obeys his mother and loves her (who doesn't love their mother?), well he even gets blind eyed to her follies, err, but when situation demands, he always, over and over again chooses Prerna over his mother, disobeying her! That doesn't make him a man for whom his mother's every word is engraved in stone, and he can cross any boundaries for her comfort. LOL. That's why I said Priya Di to modify the sentence.
