RKR has also made good business for films like Bareilly ki Barfi, Stree in more recent times, and if given more breaks like Vicky Kaushal is getting these days, he too can make it big. The only difference in casting would have been having 2-3 good actors in film vs Hrithik in the limelight with lesser-knowns in the movie. Personally I have nothing against Hrithik but I would be really angry if this movie tanks because of him. Even Ranveer Singh did a better job in Gully Boy.

Well please allow me to introduce you to RKR's reality COMMERCIALLY. We aren't talking about acting here, but strictly from a box office POV.

I would say he's had plenty of chances in spite of some horrendous track record box office wise, wouldn't' ya agree? Besides stree, his few other "successes" have a ceiling of 10-20 crore LIFETIME. If anything, he should be freaking thankful to the Bollywood producers who continue to finance his movies with that track record.

The movies you have mentioned were all pile of crap except Rocket Singh in my opinion. In spite of that, those aforementioned flop movies still made more money (except probably Khele Hum...) than all of those RKR's "successes".

I think RKR is a good actor but his commercial limits aren't due to getting "chances". There's a difference between an ACTOR and a STAR.

At the end of the end, a producer's ultimate goal in making movies is their bottom line and with Hrithik, in spite of his recent bad patch, the commercial prospects go significantly higher. Everything else is subjective.

Politely disagree with you here.

Most of RKR's roles have been sidekicks, small supporting roles of low relevance or low-budget /under-promoted movie roles, in which he has managed to leave an impact. That alone speaks a lot. Merely spouting Box office figures means nothing, because you are willing to ignore the big names associated with many of those projects. For the sake of a hypothetical example, even if Hrithik may have had 6 disasters back to back, I would have still lauded him in a 7th movie for his acting and predicted a commercial success, if it so merited.

That being said, am neither a fanboy nor a fan shark; so don't be disappointed if I don't indulge in fan wars, one way or the other.

Every actor has fan base for him and fans of other actors who are against him (hate group). Both these groups ultimately impact the like ratios in youtube but there is also a general group (neutral) who ultimately decides where is the like ratio heading. A trend that can be observed to gauge the reaction of a trailer

Fan base (+ve) + hate group (majorly -ve) + Neutral Group (+ve if trailer is good, mixed if trailer is average else -ve ) determines ultimate like %

Based on the past trends,

>= 97% is extremely positive (Article 15 is in this range)

90% to 97% is good (zero was at 92% or so coz trailer was received well)

85% to 90% is mixed to positive (bharat is between 90 to 91% tilting more towards positive)

<85% is negative (Race 3)

Super 30 is close to 98% which means trailer is well received and overall audience is not finding Koi Mil Gaya hangover or whatever terms other people are using to bring it down

And from where you are bringing these figures, may I know?

What am I jumping at? Ultimately opening tells how much buzz movie had pre-release.

Super 30 is a WOM movie. Casting Hrithik will not bring big numbers, as he's struggling to give a 10 crore opening in his past two ventures, which were commercial projects. On the other hand, quality of movie will go down if his acting is bad and it will effect the WOM.

I wanted to comment. But, This numbers makes my head empty. I really appreciate someone who keeps a record of everything in numbers. It's really a tough job.

You can verify the numbers for yourself by looking at other trailers...

We are talking about the trailer here - a review of trailer. You are talking about buzz and opening - do you see now why you're jumping topics?

FYI, opening is not proportional to quality of the trailer. Apart from trailer, it also depends on promotions, hype, expectations, cast etc (buzz). Buzz is the Very reason why race 3 and TOH had very good opening despite ok trailer. So buzz and quality of trailer doesn't mean same thing. For me quality of trailer is like/dislike ratio and the expectation the movie creates based on the trailer. Ratio is good and people are looking forward to see the movie - job of the trailer is done. Next step is to promote continuously and create buzz to ensure good opening

After swimming in a pool of controversies, Hrithik Roshan's 'Super 30' is finally going to hit the theatres soon and the trailer that just dropped proves that it's going to be one of the most promising films of 2019.

Ever since it was announced that a biopic is being made on Anand Kumar, founder of Super 30, starring Hrithik Roshan, the film has made more news than most of our mathematics scores combined. For those who didn't know, Super 30 is an academy that trains meritorious students from underprivileged backgrounds for JEE exams 'for free'.

The 2-minute 37 seconds trailer shows Hrithik Roshan as Anand Kumar, a genius mathematician who is a celebrity among students for his unbelievable success rate when it comes to coaching. However, he gives up his lucrative job to help the underprivileged kids and ensure that every deserving kid gets a chance to make it big in the world.

The dialogue, "Ab Raja ka beta raja nahi banega. Raja woh hi banega, jo haqdaar hoga", will go down in the history of Bollywood as one of the most impressive and hard-hitting dialogues ever.

Also, can we take a moment to appreciate the reverse-transformation that Hrithik went through for the character? He has not only nailed the look, but his accent is also worth an applaud.

I've been waiting to get a glimpse of this movie like forever.

Honestly, this role didn't suit Hrithik.

I am disappointed 😳
