I think casting HRITHIK for this role was a Masterstroke! The kind of buzz and craze witnessed by the trailer is solely bcoz HE is playing it. Considering how little known the subject of the Biopic - Anandkumar - is!

People commenting on his looks, bushy hair or accent have not seen Anand Kumar young pics or his speeches. Hrithik is oozing with Handsomeness - so he cannot do anything about it but am happy that he looks so good despite all the oily hair and tan 😆

The trailer is so entertaining and we are yet to see Mrunal Thakur part in it! She plays a Kathak dancer!

There is a diff in movie trailers (which even common cinema goers are interested in) and solo actor interview (in which mostly that actors fans are interested in)

Someone like RKR would have nailed it and given it more flair. Hrithik is a complete misfit here and his body language is completely off. Really want this movie to succeed, but not possible with a bad lead actor.

Your point is duly noted. It is just so unfair that movies like Tevar, Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Se, Rocket Singh, Flying Jatt gets made with so called 'star' sons who are just duds.

RKR has also made good business for films like Bareilly ki Barfi, Stree in more recent times, and if given more breaks like Vicky Kaushal is getting these days, he too can make it big. The only difference in casting would have been having 2-3 good actors in film vs Hrithik in the limelight with lesser-knowns in the movie. Personally I have nothing against Hrithik but I would be really angry if this movie tanks because of him. Even Ranveer Singh did a better job in Gully Boy.

Zero is the perfect example of how online buzz can be so misleading. All those trailer records of most viewed, most liked, most trending, fastest to reach 100 million and what not, and in the end the movie opened to just 20 crores, which is just eh..good, not even excellent opening, forget bumper.

Thugs opened to 50 crores, woh toh bahut success nikli naa! Opening determines nothing.

Hrithik should have spoken hindi without an accent. I don’t understand the idea of making him look dirty. Trying to speak in an accent has made his acting look uncomfortable. This could have been a home run. Regardless , I will watch it for Hrithik. I want to support him even though directorial credit has been given to that vikas guy . 😒I hope this works for Hrithik’s sake. 🤞

you are jumping guns here... at this point, everybody is discussing trailer and nobody is talking about opening the movie is going to get.... while there are several people trying to bring up casting as an issue, the data/reviews outside is very different...

Every actor has fan base for him and fans of other actors who are against him (hate group). Both these groups ultimately impact the like ratios in youtube but there is also a general group (neutral) who ultimately decides where is the like ratio heading. A trend that can be observed to gauge the reaction of a trailer

Fan base (+ve) + hate group (majorly -ve) + Neutral Group (+ve if trailer is good, mixed if trailer is average else -ve ) determines ultimate like %

Based on the past trends,

>= 97% is extremely positive (Article 15 is in this range)

90% to 97% is good (zero was at 92% or so coz trailer was received well)

85% to 90% is mixed to positive (bharat is between 90 to 91% tilting more towards positive)

<85% is negative (Race 3)

Super 30 is close to 98% which means trailer is well received and overall audience is not finding Koi Mil Gaya hangover or whatever terms other people are using to bring it down

That was underwhelming and a bit cringy. Was waiting for Hrithik's movie but this left me disappointed. He is too classy to play such characters

I agree with the complex darkening comments here. The makers didn't need to do that. Idk what they were trying to aim for since it's not a full on biopic like Sanju 🤔
