taking opinions too personally on india forums

why do some people go to extreme levels on here, to the extent of trolling just b/c they dont like someones opinions. it really ruins the experience of the forums.

some instances i notice are threads where one person might have 1 opionion and than multiple users who who know of e/o will attack that one person just because they dont like their opinion. Isnt that sort of like bullying?

It happens all over the internet.

People here hold grudges forever. so i keep it too. There is one obsessed member who along with me were here since 2013. She keeps talking about sisterhood and my posts from 2013 whenever she wants to bash me. That is one weird obsession

But the forum has been really toxic since 2017 when one moderator biased moderation has caused more hate here and people keep taking digs at each other. Whenever i feel i take break for a month or 2

God knows what kind of pleasure they get while abusing others personally....sigh !

i dont remember the username. Even last year that person was taking digs at me and brought 5 years old post That is weird way to hold grudge for so long

Except chat corner.. For a very long time I followed a simple policy of post and forget.. unfortunately now I have my favorites on the forum so if they reply to my post I open same thread again to respond. But I feel my policy was apt fr IF/SM.

I totally agree.

Its like you cant say anything; no matter how mild your comment might be. They will bash you, your family, your ethnicity, country … all over an actor who doesn't even know about their existence.

I miss the old IF, we had so many threads with blinds and gossips, everyone would read, add stuff, laugh over it and get on. People had favourites then too but they never took comments on actors personally and made personal attacks on other members.

It just ends up ruining your mood. Itna intolerance nahi hona chahiye. Making personal comments on members is sad. I wish everyone would be a little calm and not get personal. The actors you are discussing don't know you, but you know each other. Why not agree to disagree and enjoy your time here.

P.S: Above comments are based on my personal experiences here in the last few months, not making a blanket statement and accusing anyone here.
