Blind Item: Guess Who?

Very rarely in the industry when movies get shelved they make a comeback to the radar. But here is a tale of one of the shelved movies which has now made a comeback to the forefront once again. The movie in question was initially announced with a bit of a fanfare when the producer locked one of the new upcoming leading men for the film with an A-list actress also attached to the project. The director wasn’t locked and neither was the script which eventually became an issue and hence both the actors backed off the project even after the announcement. Now the producer has locked the script he is happy with and also got a director attached to the film as well. But both the actors are now not keen to work on the project anymore. The makers are now approaching other suitable stars with the project now and it will be interesting to see who will say yes to be a part of the film and how the comeback will be completed. Vicky and Kareena/Takht?

Kjo was always going to direct Takht. Takht was never shelved. Neither any of the stars backed off.

This is not about Takht. The blind is talking about a movie where the movie was announced with no director attached. Takht was annnounced as a movie Kjo will direct.

I was gonna guess Ajay/Ranbir and the Luv film. Deepika has been attached to it. The movie went dark after the announcement and only recently news started to come out about it.

It's probably something else though.

Film Shuddhi by Karan Johar? Both Kareena and Hrithik backed out after it was announced.

Classic Bollywood -actors on board, but no script or director, no wonder most of our movies suck, we have our priorities all wrong.

That had Karan Malhotra attached from the start. I think Kjo just tried to save face by temporarily recasting the leads with Varun and Alia before officially scrapping the film.

New upcoming leading men sounds like Ishaan to me plus there's been no news of his next release...

The blind mentions there was no director announced, so don't think it the luv rajan film. Plus there's no way RK can be mentioned as a "new upcoming leading hero." Dude's pushing 40 soon.
