Nishant Malkani looks super cool and handsome in the mature persona of Akshat Jindal in the Zee TV popular show show Guddan Tumse Na Ho Payega produced by Ved Raj’s banner Shoonya Square.
The show which brings about a unique love tale of the youngest mother-in-law in Indian Television history with a much older man has won hearts of audiences.
The cute pairing of Nishant Malkani and Kanika Mann has caught the attention of one and all.
Recently, Guddan Tumse Na Ho Payega achieved its first of many feats of completing 200 episodes.
The elated team cut a cake and rejoiced on the set.
We at IWMBuzz.com got in touch with Nishant Malkani the lead protagonist of the show for his personal thoughts on the show, its first achievement and on what the future holds….
Says Nishant, “It feels great to be part of the show Guddan Tumse Na Ho Payega. We are a very hard-working unit and have put in lot of efforts for the show. To complete 200 episodes is a happy feeling. We look forward to a greater run.”
Nishant who essays the much-older hero in the show is happy that people have finally accepted him as a good actor. Ask him about the biggest takeaway from the show and he is quick to say, “My biggest takeaway is that I am accepted by the industry as a good actor. This mature and above-my-age character that I play in the show has helped me gain the badge of being a good actor (smiles). It is a tough role, especially because the man has to look older in front of the very young wife.”
Truly, as it is a fact that many popular actors were shortlisted for this unique lead role. However, while few were reluctant to play this role, many were found not suitable for it. And ultimately, it was Nishant Malkani who was deemed fit to play Akshat Jindal in Guddan Tumse Na Ho Payega.
Ask him about the connect that he and Kanika Mann’s chemistry has given the audience and he is all praise for the youngster Kanika. “This is Kanika’s first work in front of the camera. She was nervous to begin with. But must say, she is a very fast learner and got to understand the nuances quickly.”
“The common goal for me and Kanika was to attain perfection in every scene that we do. This helped us create a warm and good onscreen chemistry,” he adds.
On his most memorable sequence from the show, Nishant states, “It has to be the very recent scene where Guddan was hospitalized and was on the verge of dying. Akshat sits near her and tells her that he needs her and she cannot go. This emotional sequence brought tears in the eyes of everyone present on shoot from the Director, cameraman to spot boy. The sequence was so heavy for everyone to digest that the Director who was in tears forgot to end the scene. After the scene was shot, I was embraced by one and all present and they were all praise for me. The thought that hit my mind then was that if I was able to make people who shot me cry, it would surely impress the viewers.”
Nishant is happy with the good run that the show has had. “We were doing really well in numbers from the time of launch. However, the introduction of the TRAI shook the numbers of Zee TV. We are still being affected by that. However, we hope this problem will be solved and we will be back on track once the distribution happens smoothly.”
Nishant thanks the loyal viewers of the show and tells them that lot more is expected from the twists planned ahead. On the love track of Akshat and Guddan that is much-anticipated, he states, “This has to wait for some time. We are still juicing out the complications of this unique Jodi of Akshat and Guddan. Viewers will eventually get what they want to see. But that will take its own course of time.”
