Karan Singh Grover no longer being considered to play Mr Bajaj’s role

Rumours had been doing the round that Karan Singh Grover will be playing the role of Mr Bajaj in Ekta Kapoor’s hit TV show Kasautii Zindagii Kay

Ever since Ekta Kapoor revealed that the character of Mr Rishabh Bajaj will soon be making an entry in the reboot of her famous show Kasautii Zindagii Kay, rumours had started doing the round that actor Karan Singh Grover is being considered to play the role. The iconic role was earlier played by television superstar Ronit Roy.

However, Karan Singh Grover will not be playing the part. A source close to the production house revealed, “Karan Singh Grover is no longer being considered for the character of Mr Bajaj by Balaji Telefilms as a source tells us that some rushes of his new show were seen by the creators and they realised that he would not be able to do justice to the role of Mr Bajaj. The reason being that he would look too old opposite the main lead, Erica Fernandes and have hence decided to go ahead and keep their search on for the new Mr Bajaj.”

Another source informs that Karan hadn’t signed the contract with the production house till date. They kept waiting for it given the initial plan was to introduce the character sooner but looks like the delay from his side is making the makers think again.

At the beginning of May, Ekta Kapoor had taken to her social media handle to post a video of Ronit Roy in a scene from the original show. The caption read: “The time has come ! To say bye to @ronitboseroy as d iconic mr bajaj ! N d search for d new one@begins! I have cast ( n not ‘ casted’As someone told me) Ronit in many roles but this remains our most iconic one together @iam_ejf @the_parthsamthaan @realhinakhan @poojabanerjeee @subhavi all have been perfect as anurag Prerna komo Nivi .. willl bajaj match up( hmmmm).”

Currently, the show is having a successful run with Parth Samthaan playing the role of Anurag Basu and Erica Fernandes as Prerna Basu.

Isn't Bajaj supposed to be quite a bit older than both Anurag and Prerna. They can get Harshad.

Good that Grover is not doing Mr.Bajaj anymore. He would look so old next to Erica. She deseves a better co-star, not this uncle. He will look like Erica's grandpa next to her. Hope Grover never makes a come back to onscreen.

I don't get it, even ronit looked hella old next to shweta, isn't this the effect they're going for? Also, his royal doucheness aside, I think he'd do well and would be stupid not to consider this or for the makers not to consider him. Aur btw, Erica ain't no spring chicken either..

according to the previous story , Ronit's Look was super old in-front of Shewta . but Ronit got amazing responses on screen becoz of the chemistry bet prerna n bajaj . so look does not matter here , it is all about chemistry . if grover n eri could make a great pair , then obviously it will overshadow Anupre jodi at the end... just like previous kasauti...

lol he wouldve eaten erika alive when it comes to acting. Shweta was fantastic and matched ronit roy's acting skill from their arguments or love scene. Karan is a a good actor way too much better than erika who cant act
