Keep Kasautii Zindagii Kay on Number One and we will give our best: Erica Fernandes aka Prerna

IWMBuzz.com got a chance to talk exclusively to the show’s protagonist, Erica Fernandes.

Erica expressed her happiness over the numbers of Kasautii Zindagii Kay and said, “As you can see, no show is even close to 2.6 as we are, according to BARC ratings. It is really nice to see this response.”

Erica points out the buzz that was on, about the story line not being liked by people. “Yes, there were people complaining about the story line. But it is working and people love it. The story is unfolding in such a way that it is creating a lot of curiosity. It is not completely the same as previous season. So people are hooked to the new twists. They are keen to know what is going to happen next. So there is a lot of buildup with all our scenes and episodes. Viewers want more and that is why our TRP is on the increase.”

“We are very happy that all of our efforts are paying off so well. It is a complete team effort. No one can single-handedly take credit for it. It is the complete team that has worked day and night and put in all efforts, right from the writers, screen writers, directors, creative team, artists and technicians. I would really want to say a big thank you to everyone who has supported us. Keep us on Number 1 and we will continue to give our best,” adds Erica.

Talking on her Kasautii Zindagii Kay journey, Erica shares, “It has been really wonderful working for this team and show. The team has been very positive, full of energy. We all support each other and never put anyone down. We aim to do our best and that is what I really love about this team.”

Well keep kzk Nr. 1 also depends on Ekta Kapoor

As long as sense and sensibility is out of the tv screens it will top the charts. Who is bothered about content these days.

Dr. Sonakshi Bose and Manik Malhotra inspite of all their flaws were worth the shows they were in.

It is sad that inorder to sustain in this industry they have to cater and act to please a particular genre of audience who do not wish to appreciate a good story or script sense of those actors who choose out of the box scripts.

Anyways if this is standard requirement created by MNCs , PHs and channels who just want Return Over Investment then so be it.

All the best to them as behind the scenes many unseen faces and technicians are doing their jobs and team work does matter irrespective of job satisfaction..

Maybe i belong to a niche set of viewers who are trying to make peace with whatever is shown but failing miserably.

You speak the exact thought as mine. Its really sad to see people promoting this kind of story. No doubt lead chemistry is great and acting is great but man rest is worst. Nothing there but they are celebrating like as if they are doing something great for audiance. It's really upsetting to see like that.

I know I might sound stupid but me 1 main thing that bugs me is pregnant thing. I dont want to use this but I am diagnosed with early menopause at 26 and doctor has frankly said it is going to be difficult for me to mom. And when I see they use this as a stupid possible way I find it soo unprofessional behaviour toward their craft and their industry. Women are struggling to be mom and they use it as disgusting way as possible.

What does it mean ? Stories which aren't trp based like ladies special or PB are not worth its salt. Alright she is happy as this her source of income. But is it creativity at this best ? Ekta herself keeps on telling that she tweaks the stories for ratings. now a creative team has to rack its brain for numbers.

What about all those soaps which are not in the rat race, have sensible plots especially Sony ones and forced to go off air. Those are not upto the mark ?

Ratings are like a game of dice, it can sway, change is highly inconsistent. It's really sad when celebs give the wrong impressions on their IG profile celebrating a week's trp numbers

What you have revealed is personal, kudos to you. I too have my share of health issues. I believe, it just not itv but bollywood films who have degraded female species over the years. Then they come up with biopics to glorify large than life images.

I may be in the minority but for drama getting a pregnant women to drink bhang,dancing and what not. This is not easily digestable but there are shows including this where murder is just like having a cuppa of coffee.

Not done . There are too many inhuman practices going on in this world and TV seems to be d inspiration

True man... You are the only 1 who have openly spoke about celeb celebrating TRP in Instagram is wrong and I am with you. This make me sometime annoyed because it make me feel they too dont care about craft and story too.

All they care is about race game. I am soo annoyed that they destroyed whole usp of the show now but majority of fan are gone soo crazy that they are happy with shit as long as their couple is together with out any story.
