Why kunal?

I don’t get why everyone in the show is seemingly only thinking about kunal. Literally it seems like kunal is the older brother and not abeer as unlike usual the family is stubborn on getting the young brother married yet nobody has even slightly thought about the elder son’s marriage. This obsession with kunal by meenakshi, rajshri and almost every character is weird and a little annoying now.

Exactly my point also. Rajvansh family is least bothered about elder son but goes over the top for younger son. I bang my head on seeing the way Abir is treated !

Sometime back Shaavi had written so beautifully why no one is concerned about Abir’s marriage .

Abir ne Meenakshi ki pasand se to vaise b ni krni thi to unhone sideline hi kar rakha hai which is why unko khyal ni aa raha ki Abir or Mishti door rakhna chahiye

😆Excellent point. I forgot meenu said that she already lost control of one son and doesn't want kunal to go out of her control, so meenu-ke-munna staying under her control is the reason why she's is thinking only about his marriage and not abeer's, but at least nanu could think of abeer. He seems closer to abeer than kunal.

As far Nanu goes use bharosa hai Abir pe, ki he can find himself a good partner , besides abi young b hai and all👍🏼

Meenakshi thinks Abir 'haath se nikal gaya hai'. So, she has focused all her attention on ensuring Kunal falls in line. It's the difference between a rescue operation vs a recovery operation. She has accepted Abir's rebellion and wants to quell any dissent from Kunal before it happens.

Nanu gives Abir his space so does not feel that he should be pressurised into an arranged marriage 'cause he thinks Abir is smart enough to know what is good for him. Kunal, he feels, needs handholding.

The rest- Their opinions don't matter so they don't think about it. Why give it thought when Meenu will make all the decisions?

I simply don’t get everyone cowering under meenu and her ruling the house with an iron fist. Is it just because she left her husband to save her family business, that now she thinks the family owe her by doing as she says hence why the family cowers to her orders? The family dynamics here look so messed up.

What troubles me more? why would Kunal tell him when he is eating or shitting? Give some space lady for real?
