Now Moksh doesn't even consider her his mother, I feel like she will convince herself that she can go off with Atharav. Things are in favor of KalMa.

But there is nothing there for Sampada there anymore. Malhar can't stand her and Moksh considers Kalyani his mother. And what's the point if she gets Moksh and loses Atharav? If you think about why they included the scene with the lawyers and court custody is because of two reasons. One, to show how much Malhar care about Kalyani now. Two, to foreshadow that this track will come to an end with the resolution of this custody battle.
