Double standards rule again

So let's get this straight...... according to veer's mother, mishti is at fault for leaving her son. Completely fine.... but in mishti's mother's case, mishti's mother is at fault that her husband left her? WHAT???????

So the case here is quite clear. Doesn't matter if a woman is the one who is ditched or herself ditches, in both cases society will blame only the woman. But in the case of a man being the one who ditches or is ditched.... in both cases he is innocent and free of blame and responsibility for the breakdown of the relationship. That's the mantra of society. Blame a girl in every situation in a situation where the woman is at fault or not, but in any situation where the man is at fault or not, he can't be blamed.

That’s why I was happy that Misthi got freedom from Veer and his family.

Like Teju said in a Interview, Misthi broke up with veer because she understood he is not the one for her. She doesn’t love him. The break up is not because she loves ruhaan but because she doesn’t love veer.

I am so glad Misthi - Ruhaan is not revealed yet. If that was revealed everybody would have blamed ruhaan and Misthi falling in love rather than understanding lack of love in Misthi for veer.

I think this absolutely reflects the mentality of society. Women are always at fault for whatever happens in one's relationship, but men are easily excused. I have even heard people who claim to be progressive and feminists, spout such nonsense. The worst part is women themselves committing such a fallacy. I never understood why the saying "Women are their own worst enemies" came about till I grew up and realised that such regressive nonsense was still being propogated, especially by women.
