Violence in Indian television shows

I can't help but wonder is it really easy to go around and slap anyone who so ever you want to. That too a grown-up Veena did it a lot of times, Mohini did, Moloy and Prerna and Naveen. I know the situations were offensive but slapping isn't the right thing to do. We live in a progressive where people handle their issues maturely. And even if they don't still violence is clearly wrong. Indian television supports violence a lot. They were supposed to shape society but they destroy it by showing such shitty things. What effect it will have on our society? They never think about such issues or they don't want to think about it.
