Fake case alert. Consensual sex is not rape. Just bcoz the relationship ended. Indian Laws are a joke.

This pretext of marriage rape is such a stupid concept. Rape is forced sex and it’s not rape when two adults do it consensually. Sex under pretext of marriage is rape only when victim is a minor. Women are using this law to take revenge afterward break up. It’s so ridiculous.

Consensual sex is not rape and some women are indeed misusing the laws to take revenge. But the article mentions that the accused filmed the rape and demanded money from the victim.

raping with the pretext of marriage is a very grey area, if they are in a relationship, live in or have a physical relationship, then the guy breaks up after sometime , the woman can say" raping under the prtext of marriage" and get him arrested.

now often , in India, guys do promise marriage, to sleep with girls over a long time, then suddenly break it off to get married to a family approved girl

girls can use it to take revenge on a ex for whatever reason

In today’s paper it was reported that court has cleared him of the accusation as the complainant gave inconsistent statements and also had continued to be in relationship after the period that she mentioned being raped . There were also proofs submitted as messages from her phone to him which helped clear him out.

It is better to have hookup than relationship. Really not my cup of tea. Because who knows if guy dare to breakup he will be charged for rape for consensual sex.
