Ananya Panday is awaiting the release of her first Bollywood film Student of The Year 2, her cousin brother Ahaan Panday is gearing up to make his Bollywood debut too.
According to a report in an entertainment website, Ahaan has signed his first film with Yash Raj Film (YRF). A source close to the development told the website, "He has been locked for a film under YRF. Details of the same are being kept under wraps for now. He will be the latest addition to the pool of talents for the banner. Most probably, it will be an action romantic film."
Though no official announcement has been made by YRF, Ahaan has started preparing for his first film. The source said, "As of now, the production house hasn't put a date to the project. But Ahaan is taking up regular training in dance and action. In fact, he has been sitting for acting workshops with his director and the team to ready himself for it."
The leading lady of the film hasn't been decided, but Sridevi and Boney Kapoor's daughter Khushi Kapoor seems to be a good choice. Khushi had earlier said that she would want to make her Bollywood debut opposite Ahaan.
On the chat show, when host Neha Dhupia asked Khushi Kapoor to choose between Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan Khan, Ahaan Panday and Javed Jaaferi's son Mizaan Jaffrey as her co-star in her debut film, she named Ahaan.
"I have only seen Ahaan act out of the three of them, so I guess it would be like, the safest option," Khushi said.
However, her sister Janhvi Kapoor, who appeared on the show with her, felt differently. "I would want her to debut opposite Mizaan," the Dhadak actress said.
Will Khushi star opposite Ahaan in this YRF film? Only time will tell.
