Every time he saw her lately, this was the expression on Kalyani's face. He used to come home on time to keep her company. He had started sharing his daily events and happenings with her. He asked her about her day. It seemed whatever he did fell short on her expectations. Pillu was her only relief. She smiled when she played with him, gave him a massage and bath, dressed him, fed him, patted him till he fell asleep. Malhar had to do something about it. He did not know if she did or not but he was missing his pagli very much. He had to no he would bring her back to him. Next morning he set out determined to find his Kalyani.
Kalyani like everyday followed her routine. She took care of Pillu, attended college, did her assignments, and cooked whatever she could. She used to keep herself busy but still she found time to miss her mother and feel bored without their daily gup shup, going to college together, attending or bunking classes together. Together, how distant it felt now. He mother was no longer with her. She was now at her new home with her husband, Sarthak Rane, Sarthak kaka. Kalyani was the one who wanted to find he mother's happiness and she did find it in and with Sarthak, Malhar's kaka. When she was searching for a partner for her mother this thought might not have crossed her mind that she would have to separate or be away from her mother. If she had known this, she still would have gone ahead with it bas se would make Sarthak kaka ghar jamai and Anupriya and Sarthak would move to Kalyani and Malhar's home at Ahilya Nivas or along with her mothers' Kalyani would plan her own bidaai too and all the Ranes would live under one roof at Sarthak kaka's home.
Malhar came home after a long day at the PS. Pillu was already sound asleep. Kalyani had that same I'm bored expression on her face. Kalyani did not realize that she had been neglecting Malhar. She used to take care of his things, his tea, lunch and dinner but she had not paid attention to him as a person as her husband. She did not see how her behavior had affected him. She started having flash backs. He had begun to take care of her on behalf of Anupriya too. He did not do over time and tried not to bring work home. The flowers he brought for her were not received with the joy he must have anticipated. After Anupriya's marriage Kalyani was feeling lonely when her husband was right there with her. She got what she had wanted happiness for her mother. Now it was time for her to think about her own happiness and that of her husband and child. Now she had to think only about her family. She went out to look for him and found him sitting in his jeep. He was angry with her but it was not the same as before. Earlier he used to be angry at his roommate Kalyani, now he used to get angry at his wife. "Haye, kitne cute lag rahe hain na gusshe mein. She was walking away from him in hopes that he would follow her. Malhar could not see her walk away from him. He caught her hand and pulled her slowly. She backed into his chest.

Kalyani tried to get out his hold. She liked this push pull game.

Malhar was not interested in push he just pulled her towards him. She avoided looking at him but he cupped her cheeks and made her face him.
