He holds her close feeling a sort of peace he had never really felt in his life ever; like he can stop for a moment and takes a breath; take a break, a pause

Her arms slowly wriggle to his back and hold him

Maan holds her like that for a long time not wanting to move or let her out

She also lets herself and her heart rest and feels the peace as long as she could

Jab tak Geet na hile Maan could freeze the moment...catch it and fill a bottle with it

So that he can open it sometimes and take a dose out when he feels everything is slipping out of his hands ...that he has no one

Raat ho chuki thi, thand badh rahi thi

Her body was shivering a little in the embrace

They feels some drop on them as it starts to rain and they realize ki time to move, not they want to par kya kare majboor

He keeps holding her, but says

M- We should go...we'll get wet

She just follows his words

They run back to the house hand in hand

Andar pohocnhe both of them a bit out of breath

Geet looks at him and smiles

Maan smiles back at her

She gets little blush on her cheek

Maan brings a towel and put it on her head rubbing her head

She chuckles and abruptly dumps the towel on his head and says

G-Good night

And runs away like a small enthusiastic gal into her room

Maan smiles after her a bit dreamily

Raat ho gai

Maan room mein so gaya

Raat ke kareeban 2 baje the

Hall se TV chalne ki awaaza aai

Maan bahar aaya aankhein malta hua

Andhera tha, TV chal raha tha

Geet couch pe razai leke leti thi

Maan aaya

Geet hadbadake uth gai, wo thoda darr hi gai thi

M-Cant sleep?

G-emm...you go and sleep...sorry

Her forehead was glistering with sweat

M- Are you ok?

M-Yeah yeah I am fine...

She gives an unconvincing confident smile

He comes and sits near her

M-You are sweating a lot

Geet touches her forehead

G-emm...emmm...its jst...emm...tum so jao...main volume kam karti hoon

Maan takes her hand away and checks her temperature himself

She is cold

M-You are cold! What's wrong Geet?

She shakes her head vigorously

G-Everything is fine. You go and sleep. I'll reduce the volume

M-ok... you like hot chocolate?

G-So jao naa. kal office hai naa

M- I am feeling hungry

Maan says with a fake yawn

G-ok, good night

Geet lifts the blanket and switches off the TV and heads towards her room

M-You sure don't want anything to drink?

Maan says already making some hot chocolate

G-No, thanks

M-Stay and give me some company?

She stops; comes and sits on the couch keeping her hand on her lap

Maan makes enough for both of them

G-Thanks

She quietly sips

M-So what were you watching?

G-Just like that

He nods

M- I was wondering...something

G-Hmm?

M-Cant you stay a bit longer before going away?

She looks at him her questioning look turns to thoughtfulness as she gazes on her lap biting her lip

M-Please

Geet agaun looks at him with questions in her eyes

Maan kuch nahi kehta lifts the cup to finish his drink

G-Koi wajah hai?

She finally utters

M-I want you to stay longer

Geet kya bole aise honest reply ke bad

G-Kyun?

M-Coz I want you to, that's all

Geet uthti hai, washes the cup

G-Good night Maan

M-Good night Geet. Try and stay if you can

Geet kuch nahi kehti...room mein ghus jaati hai

Subah Maan jaldi uth jata hai, neend hi dhang se nahi aayi

Neend kaise aati... he can't stop thinking about Geet

He worries about her welfare...he worries what will happen if hse goes to Africa

Maan room se nikla

Par he is surprised to see ki door ke paas toh Geet razai bichaake ghus ke padi hui hai

He picks her up

Geet uth jaati hai as he picks her up

G-oh arre

M-What are you doing here?

He asks holding her in his arms

Geet thoda neendon mein rubs her eyes and yawns then stretches a little

G-wo...emmm...

When she is actually awake her cheeks go red with embarrassment

M-Doesn't matter...go back to sleep...didn't mean to wake you up

G-Nahi wo...mujhe raat ko akele darr lagta hai...isliye...

He walks into his bedroom carrying her and then slowly puts her on the bed

M-I see

She bites a portion of her lip while embarrassed

He pulls the blanket over her and then touches her lip
