Every single Indian reality show that I have seen, be it a dancing show, singing show, talk show, comedy show or award show, there is always at least one episode in which a judge pretends to get offended and then walks away only to later reveal that they were joking.
It has been done a gazillion times and is just SO LAME!!! I can't believe people are still falling for this stupidity.
It seems just like a desperate attempt to stop people from tuning away during a commercial break. So just before the break they show "Aage dekhiye... (dash dash) ko gussa kyun aaya!". Then they show a clip of one of the judges walking away, accompanied with ominous music as well as the standard Indian TV soap 3x camera zoom in on every person there. Like this:
