,is there a disconnect in the storyline in the first place ? TV guys love drama but they do not like dsyfunctional families or characters who have their own voice.
the pace of the story is okay, Big Ben msy not bad by birth but circumstances have made her like this and she is going to trouble her own family members.

Abeer and Mishti; is the pairing not right ? Currently watching KRPKAB , dev and sona are like petrol and crude oil , inflammable, dialogues really catch one's attention

Or is this story inspired from past shows which viewers have watched over the years.

I haven't even seen one episode of YRKKH properly but this one

i found traits of Swaragini, Uttaran even Udaan when it comes to sister bonding. Abeer is somewhere related to his dev dixit character, for those who have watched kokila modi, Meenakshi looks like a refined version. Mishti is brought from YRKKH with a baggage of problems.

The story is about rejection from Mishti's side , Abeer and his mother are in the same boat as he is from a broken family, he is trying his best to prove his mother wrong and she is doing the same thing with him, if one has watched colors, BP was about rejection and the mother proving her son wrong and her first born doing what he wants. here it is a bit polished as they taunt each other from the beginning.

So dysfunctional characters or a family drama between such personalities who are broken are not accepted well or this one looks like mix and match of previous shows ?

I think they should put more efforts in their scenes to create a good emotional impact. Hope it improves in the future. U mentioned KRPKAB, even if we don't talk about Devakshi, the first scene with his mother when they enter the new house and he says " bohot Saal lage par hum Ghar aa hi Gaye was so emotional and moving. That one line summarised their years of struggle, poverty and pain.

Perhaps they should give more back stories for viewers to connect better with the characters. Here they have said that Mishti and Abir father left when they were kids but they should also show how their lives changed after that, what difficulties they faced. How Mishti got accepted by Maheshwaries etc.
I suppose their fathers leaving them will not connect them emotionally. It is just a fact that is common in both their lives. Their struggles, their ideologies towards their life and their ways to cope up with pain will better connect them. I hope when they meet frequently they get a chance to talk and interact more about these things before giving long eye locks. Before that at least the viewers should be given more clarity about the characters.

Same thing goes to Meenakshi, Kuhu and Kunal as well. Kuhu, if she is so bitter should have some reasons for that.

I hope they give more depth to the characters and details to their equations. Although, it's too early to say anything. Let's see what they have up their sleeves. 😆

KRPKAB was a one of a kind show! We can't compare this show to that.
Most Indian shows are a mix of previous successful shows. The cast, direction & dialogues set it apart.
They have to show us the reason why the characters behave the way they do. Kuhu gave us a small glimpse of why she behaves the way she does (though she does seem ott). Hopefully they can do for the rest instead of wasting so much time on song & dance & lengthy eyelocks!
Anyway I watch for Shaheer!

Ek duje ke vaaste was much better show but it had to end abruptly due to some disagreements between producers and channel. KRP was gud due to Shaheer and Erica's acting.
