Character consistency

I was not very active on the forum in these few days.. But I am happy with the new changes in the atmosphere here. Everyone prefers their girls happiness and character growth above any ship and I find it a positive thing.

I have watched this show as a Mishti fan and never played that much attention to other characters. Lately I am seeing a lot of comments like Pari is the only consistent character in the show and that made me pay attention to her character a little more. But the more I think about it the more I feel she is the most inconsistent character.

The girl is introduced to be as someone who is a commitment phobic and want to stay away from love and relationships.. Let me remind you once again, she is not said to be just commitment-phobic.. She is also said to be someone who is scared of love and relationships too. But the girl get attracted to the boy at first meet itself to the extent that she dress up thinking about him. And it's not even one week they have met, Pari has already fell for him. I don't remember them having that much of interaction with each other in these few days..I would not have questioned it if Pari is like any other girl who is open to love.. But it's okay, it's matter of heart.. Falling for someone is not in our hand.. My actual problem starts from here.. Its the way she is reacting to these feeling.. As a person who is scared to fall in love, Pari must be running away from the feelings and doing everything to remove those feelings from the heart.. But here our girl is quiet easily acknowledging the feeling, accepting it and even confessing.. I find these changes way too abrupt and out of character sketch. Even in today's episode, with Arnav she was like yeh pyar vyar sab kuch mere liye nahi hai, mein in sab mein nahi padna chahti hun and the next second she is confessing to Ruhan!!

In short all 3 main characters lack consistency.. Creative team needs to buck up.. Only thing they got right is the casting.

What I feel is Pari & Ruhaan shares a very good bond and I think it's okay to fell in love with him and even confessing it.. The one thing I felt as you mentioned in the post is when she realised arnav feelings for her she thought love is not her thing but when she realised her feelings for Ruhan she forgot that point,, she could have added like how Ruhan is breaking her commitment phobia but Arnav couldn't do that would have made sense..

Now her falling for ruhaan...well she clearly said that she is liking Ruhaan as a human not as a good looking guy...she clearly said he helped me twice...first on road incident second on MishVeer's engagement day

Now as radhika said Pari is afraid of love or falling for a guy coz what if she falls a wrong guy or that guy ditch her or that snatching someone else's love...now coming to pari's criteria...Ruhaan helped her twice n still helping her again n again even her family too remember ansh's fight so for her he isn't a wrong guy

Now the ditching part...ruhaan is the one who is helping pari to be a better person...that pari ho pari bano...so for her ruhaan is that guy whom she can trust

Now the most important part the snatching one...well Ruhaan is single...no one can think that he can have feelings for his own bestfriend's fiance...i mean this sounds so cheap n most importantly mishti is pari's sister so pari knows her very well...so for her he is single

Now coming to Arnav...everything is fine...he is a good guy n he is single but does he respect pari...not at all...he doesn't even respect pari's feelings that's why he is trying...as i said earlier if a girl say no it means a no...he isn't getting this

So here comes the difference between two guys

N pari is falling for ruhaan n not for arnav coz ruhaan isn't wrong...he respects pari n her wishes n he is single simple

I am not questioning her falling for ruhaan thing at all.. My problem is how she is reacting to the newly found feelings.. They portrayed her as someone who is afraid to fall in love.. So I would prefer it if makers shows her dilemma..Falling in love, realizing it, acknowledging it and confessing it, its all coming out as rushed.

The continuity, character consistency everything is lacking for every character except for veer I think.. All are confused atmas including Pari mishti, ruhaan, and su bua

Mishti was once very much affected by ruhaan and was not able to be intimate with him.. Now all of a sudden she is in effected and so much in love with veer.

Ruhaan is not shown guilty for harbouring feelings for friends fiancee. In one or two scenes it was shown and after that he is behaving like its pretty normal.

Anrnav has confessed his love a million times by now and Pari has clearly explained him her stand and even su bua knows about it.. But everytime arnav and su bua are behaving like Arnavi is yet to disclose his feelings.
