Just remembered "Radhika Madan" .. seeing her do action in "Mard ho dard" ... I think she'll make one great cop too! ..

Why do the girls have to punch the villains?

They could very well be using guns - like every other cop does.. or be the lead detectives that give the orders and the males are doing the actual punches.

And I mean Angelina Jolie did a Lara Croft, Salt, Wanted and so on- and she wasn't muscle bound or massive.. just athletic and defined enough to be believable in the action scenes.

So , if they look fit/defined.. they could fight a few baddies on one on one ( or they could fight FEMALE baddies- the movie could take place in some women jail or around some female prisoners escaping and being tracked down). There's female terrorists and female killers, too.. that can be fought.
