Subah hui
Maan aaya bahar room se coffee peene, raat ke kapdon mein -tracks and baniyan
Maan leke baitha newspaper
Kuch paani ki cheethon ne Maan ke chehre ko gila kar diya
He looks up from the paper...a bit annoyed but already starting to smile
Geet looks at him
G-oh you are up...good morning
She smiles back
M-Good morning
G-Excuse me...
Geet bolke room mein chali gai
Maan ko bhi Geet ka reaction kaafi weird laga but he brushes it away
He quickly skims through the paper and finishes his cup of coffee and goes to his room to get ready
Bahar aata hai toh dekhta hai the breakfast is laid
Maan baith jaata hai nashta karne
M-You know you don't have to cook breakfast so early I can help myself
G-I was hungry
Geet bhi khaane lagti hai
He isn't a fan of cornflakes, so he gets up makes some toast and omlete
G-Kya hua?
M- I am hungry. You want omelet?
He asks as he cuts some veggies and whips the eggs
Geet looks at him quizzically
She snatches the eggs from him
G-Go and sit
M-I am making it. What's your problem?
G-Nahi khana tha toh batana chahie tha naa
M-Kya nahi khana?
He takes the bowl back and pours it on the pan
G-Cornflakes nahi pasand hai ye batana chahie tha naa jab laa rahe the
M- M...m..mujhe laga tumhe khana hai to le aaya
G-Toh bolna nahi aata? Hato naaa
She pushes him
M- I am making it Geet... go and eat your breakfast before it gets too mushy
He pushes her back
G-Ouch! Dhakka kyun maar rahe ho? Hato! Mujhe aur bhi kaam hain!
M-Tumne pehle maara. Besides how am I supposed to cook if you stand in the way?
G-Toh? Main tumhe marungi toh tum bhi mujhpe haath uthaoge?
M-To get even with you I don't have to slap you back. I am sure there would be other things which would hurt you more
Geet storms out
G-Slab ke paas tiffin hai le lena aur fruits bhi kaate hain
M-Fine!
He shouts after her
He doesn't even get the whole point...bhook lagi thi to bana liya...does she want to be annoyed and pulled into doing his stuff for him. It's like if you don't make her do your work for you, she is unhappy
Geet sits and starts having her corn-flakes
Maan bhi bana kar takes t back to the table and starts eating it
M-Look I am not used to people making breakfast for me or serving me anything. I eat what I feel like eating on the spur of the moment and I don't see how disturbing you when you are eating, a good sense or nice manners. So I made what I wanted to eat for myself. I don't want to fight with you first thing in the morning
G-Did I say anything? I am sorry...its better I should just leave
M-You are upset over my behavior...you don't have to leave. I am not used to living with anyone and so aren't u and it'll take time to adjust...doesn't mean you have to leave
G-No...what I am doing here...living with a stranger...Its all crazy!
M-You want to go to Africa, die...go to the stars and meet him again... living with me for few days is the least crazy thing
Geet looks away
G-What I do is my problem...my life and I have a family...I am just an escapist
M-You are taking a break from a tough life. Everyone deserves a break and some days of rest and peace
G-Go...Its late
He nods
He gets up puts his plate in the sink
He is too late to wash them
M-Hey you wanna go see a movie tonight?
G-I'll let you knw
M-ok
Maan keh kar picks up his bag and leaves waving good bye to her
She waves back
Maan pohoncha office
Akhil doesn't look like he got any sleep last night
Uska office bhi pura bikhra hua hai
Geet nahi hai naa organize karne ke liye...
Aur ye sara kaam kaun karega issi tension mein Akhil bhi pareshaan hai
Maan ko office mein harassed Akhil ko dekhkar bohot shaanti mili
Maan ne lunch time mein tiffin khola jo Geet ne pack kiya tha, also snacks ke liye fruits bhi kaat diye the
Sab office walon ne poocha
Arre kya baat hai aaj lunch banake laaye ho aur fruits bhi kaate hain!'
M-I've got some house guests
Shaam ko ghatiya si gadi ko wapas kiya apni achchi bike uthai aur ghar chala gaya
He brought her a tub of ice cream
Geet ne door khola...lips mein dangling pen aur lips pe zara si ink and gets back to her phone and copy pen
M-Hi, I got ice cream!
He looks at her
M-What are you doing?
She looks up searching the internet for some info
M- You can use my laptop if you want
G-No its fine, I got what I needed
M-What were yiu looking for?
G-Africa...of course
M-On the net? You don't know where it is?
G-Arre other things
M-Like what?
G-City...weather
He nods at her reply
M-By the way, I spoke to my friend today about your job today. He wants you to mail your CV to him
G-Thanks...but no thanks
M-Why not? It's not like I am pulling any strings for you... he said he would interview you. If he likes the CV and if that goes well then you can get the job
G-I will find it
M-But not just the one my friend can offer, purely based on your merit just coz he is my friend?
G-I will manage
M-You are avoiding the question
