Total Dhamaal had good collections on Tuesday with figures in the 8.25-8.50 crore nett range. The film has now collected a little under 80 crore nett in the five days since release. The film has scored all over with the best performance coming in Gujarat / Saurashtra and Central India while East Punjab and Delhi city could be a little better.


The drop is in the 15% range on Tuesday and a similar hold on Wednesday would mean the film closing the first week with around 93 crore nett. Basically the film will almost the cover the lifetime business of the last Ajay Devgn starrer Raid in around 8 days.


The film is doing as much business in Gujarat / Saurashtra as Simmba and that film had the holiday advantage over the New Year period. The collections of Total Dhamaal till date are as follows.

It was a good thing that this film released a week after Gully Boy as the media step motherly treatment can easily be seen. Last week the attempt was to get even the dogs and cats into the theatres and this week is the opposite and make sure people stay away but the audience has a mind of its own though it does have a little affect in the big metros.


It was being said in industry rounds that the big national daily Hindustan Times actually implied that an actor like Ayushmann Khurana was better than Ajay Devgn just to put the film down. This daily has a huge reach maybe more than the film itself and readers of it in the national language may even day who is Ayushmann Khurana and then others who by chance may have seen some of his work will ask can he actually act.


Here you are not just being comparing but implying he is better than someone who has almost 100 films as main lead. Forgett the box office, performances, Hits and all that, just to do 100 films as main lead is a huge achievement as not many in history have done this. All this without any facts or figures just to put a film down.

Someone please gift BOI a grammarly subscription. What the heck is "being comparing" and why are they annoyed at Gully Boy and Ayushmann of all people?

This the second time BOi shaded Badahai Ho and Auushman. In Gully Boy's Monday collection write-up they said Gully Boy will gross the same amount as Badhai Ho and TOH. 😆

Oh Raja Sen well then that tells me all I need to know. He gets in Twitter fights with fans. Box office India doesn't even do that. I don't know how anyone could take him seriously. 😆

BOI has became unbearable. Raja Sen never said that Ayushhmann is a bigger star than Ajay. Just because you are a box office site doesn't mean you will measure everything with box office. By that logic, Salman is the greatest human being on earth because he has box office records. Clearly some fanatic is writing articles for BOI.
