PART 13:

Her phone rang and she had to leave. She did not like the choice of Khurana's decision to get a middle-class girl into the family. She couldn't believe that she signed a deal with this family. She wanted everything on her terms and Maan is marrying someone who doesn't belong to their world. Satyabhama walked away in disbelief and one of the reasons was she did not want to face this family until the fact gets into her system. She hated middle-class families and their ideologies.

I was there ... I hate that life and these people ... Aur main ussi hadh tak chup rahongi jab tak mere aur Maan ka kaam sab thik chalega, she promised herself to let go off that odd feeling that set in her looking at the woman Maan would be getting married to.

The party was going according to what Khuranas planed. Although Savithri saw that Satya left without informing, she was more worried about Geet feeling uncomfortable for some reason. She saw her talking with Tara pulling the dupatta on her shoulders as it was slipping down.

Walking upto her dadima asked ... Geet bete change karna hai? Aap kapdon mein thik nahi lag rahi ho ... Aap ek kaam karo Maan ke kamre mein maine kal aapke liye kuch saree rakhvadiya ... aap jaake change karlo, she said making Geet to look at dadima with surprise.

Like Dadima understood ... Aise mat dekhiye, rehna to aapko ek din Maan ke kamre mein hi na? Change kar ke aajayiye, Party mein sab hamare hone wali bahu ke liye wait karenge.

Geet smiled and left to the room, while Tara joined Geet's family to make them feel better. In all this she failed to observe someone following Geet to her room.

Bhai mujhe nahi lagta ki main unke saath kaam karpaonga, he said outrightedly wondering how hard it can be. Dev got confused as he assumed that Maan would be able to prove himself with this project. He had no idea as to why he was being adamant on his tone of not working with Satya.

Lekin Maan problem kya hai? Don't you think you are over reacting? Maanta hoon Aunty ke saath rehna thoda mushkil hai ... But I want you to understand ki ab tum shaadi karne wale ho aur Geet ki responsibility tum par hai ... Main chahta tha ki jab tak tum dono ki shaadi ho jayegi tum thoda free raho ... I want you to be with your wife for at least sometime before you guys can get back to work ... Geet ko toh hame aage padhana bhi hai na ... I want her to finish her Post Graduation so that she can confidently be a part of our family business.

I agree with everything you say bhai but I feel like in all this Aunty can hurt Geet ... You do have an idea that she loathes people who hail from a middle class background ... Or we should leave Geet alone until we get married ... I don't want someone to hurt her in anyway, Maan explained his inner fear to his brother. Maaneet marriage was supposed to happen in seven months and his brother wants Geet to help Maan with this project so that they could spend some quality time together, understand each other while still working together on a project.

Both the brothers slipped into a deeper discussion making their way towards Maan's room.

Maan's room,

Geet came out from the washroom changing into the saree. She saw Sana standing by the window. Geet did not know why she was in Maan's room in the first place ... she did not know if it was right to ask her, so she began to walk out of the room when she heard Sana saying ... Main yaha tumhare liye aayi hoon.

Geet turned around to look at Sana who was probably seething in anger ... I love Maan and I have always loved him ... Tumhari himmat kaise hui hamare beech mein aane ki? She asked holding her hair in her palms.

Geet stilled not wanting to react. Sana is a child and she was not that kind of a person to yell and scream at someone. She did not react, just watched her.

Tumhe kya lagta hai ki tum aise Maan ko mujhse cheen sakti ho? He is mine, she continued not bothering the eyes which were watching them ... Sana held Geet by her throat, trying to scare her ... Tumhari aukaad kya hai? How dare you dream of my Maan, saying she plastered Geet onto the nearby wall. Tara and Maan ran inside the room with fear.

What happened next was Maan pulled Sana and rose his hand to slap her tight, Maan no please ... his hand stilled in the mid - air, frustrated he ran his hand through his hair ... Bhabhi I don't want this girl anywhere here ... he roared. Geet felt so terrible with the turn of events. Naintara mouthed a sorry as Maan held Geet's wrist taking her out of his room.

He's upset, really upset ... But what was the reason he was so hurt? Geet not retorting to Sana? His brother trying to put him into that project on which he doesn't want to work on? He took her to the outhouse and looked the door behind. Geet stood like a statue not understanding Maan's wrath.

Savithri Devi suddenly saw no one from her family ... everyone seems to disappear. She called DevTara and Maan a couple of times, Dev joined but there was no track of Maaneet and Naintara.

What is wrong with you Sana? How dare you do that with Geet? Naintara seethed in anger.

Maine kya kiya? Pyar hi to kiya hai maine? Aur kya kiya? Aur isme kya galat hai? Lekin aapne kya kiya di? You found that cheap desperate girl for Maan? Kaha main aur kaha woh? She mouthed her feelings to receive a tight slap. Sana was shocked at this side of her sister. She has been acting like Geet's sister ever since Maaneet got engaged.

I thought you will understand and move on in life ... But you will not change, so from now on you will not walk into this house ... yeh ghar mera hai aur main yaha tumhe aane ki ijaazat nahi de rahi hoon ... Until you change and move on, I will have nothing to do with you ... Get out, Naintara pointed her finger towards the exit. Sana walked out feeling humiliated.

Just then she checked her phone and saw Dadima's missed calls. She wiped her face and ran to join Dadima.

Kaha the aap? Aur Maan Geet kaha hai? Nazar nahi aarahe hai? Dadima questioned.

Yehi kahi honge na ... Chaliye hame Geet ki family ke saath hona chahiye. Look at them, they are sitting in that corner... Naintara distracted Dadima's attention. She texted Maan ... I will take care of both the families, please you guys be here in half an hour.

Maan looked at his phone and then at Geet who was busy fidgeting with her saree pallo.
