Writers could have explored some new themes by bringing some normalcy in the life of the leads and if it failed to bring trps ,they could have brought a leap.

So many avenues unexplored. King-pragya , king ---alia , king ---abhi, abhi-pragya navigating life after not being with each other for so long, disha-alia equation, Pragya working again..

They always have a fixed template for each of the tracks.. starting and ending of track goes at such speed even few days and months are skipped conveniently.. and then comes the actual track where one day in normal world is dragged for 2-3 weeks.. ppl wear the same costumes and are roaming around in the same house here and there forever and it is still same day..

drag, drag, drag till writers dont know what to do further, then go at rocket speed and before u close and open eyes there is something absurd waiting for u 😆 and then you know next track already started...

I think it is just a business decision. They want to keep the name Kumkum bhagya and milk the popularity by introducing new and younger actors. Looks like they want to attract a new generation of viewers, not just the past viewers. I'm guessing it'll have a completely new and different look.

It might work to bring in new audiences but they need to revisit their brand of storytelling... Kkb worked ratings wise when abhi-pragya were in each others vicinity even if separated due to Tanu, the leap did no favours to the trps, since comedy drama has been the shows usp.

Show like yrkkh which successfully introduced a new generation worked because they showed the issues which were pertinent to newer generation , something kkb has been never good at , since they usually focus on absurd circumstances.

I feel KKB needs to review lots of things before deciding to venture out on its future plan. As some pointed out, they have gotten used to a set pattern sticking to old themes with dragging, recycling, crimes and elaborate functions and illogical events and heartless unnecessary injuries to characters and miraculous recoveries and always bad dominating over good, invincible criminals provided with superhuman powers and extremely pathetic and passive state of leads reducing them to mere puppets and so on which worked because of the good set of actors they have in Tisha, Shika, Vin, Ruchi, Anuraj, Richi, Swaati and rest except for one body exposing element and adding to this refreshingly talented young child actress playing Kiara and Mishal. If only they tried a little bit, just a little bit, they can make miracles out of this set of casts, move away from the old ideas and introduce new ones with story revolving around so many present happenings, but has not been so and the writers finally deciding on leap.

This leap is going to be a great disaster if Tisha are shown old because whatever talent Tisha have it is their unique chemistry and romance which is the trigger factor for trps. So, when that will be erased, the writers cannot expect anything wonderful happening since already they had introduced one spin off KDB which though on top is dragging even more than KKB and is just a showcase of glamorous good actors.

So, if they plan on leap, I feel it is better to destroy Abhigyara family completely by some accident caused by Tanu and Nikhil and even if Tanu does not get exposed show her to be taken away by Nikhil by force which will be the best punishment for her and Tisha introduced as reincarnations in the form of young couple meeting in an office or owning rival companies with the same kind of rivalry changing into love pattern which they will do justice to. Kiara needs to be killed or shown to be taken away by Aalya and King or by Purab and Disha, whichever but not to be left alone without her parents if she is not made to die.

Seems Ekta & Anil did khichdi of same plot lines boringly in BALH, Kasamse & PR shows earlier with twins and separation along with a blown up crime before that..🥱All these shows couldn't grab great attention of viewers post generation leap with twins love stories..so future is evident but still they are risking it.

Not only that, here BT team is knowingly releasing spoilers to media last two weeks about leap..these are not leakages or rumors. 🤔 Fact is BT team is both creatively drained out and bored, and Ekta is majorly trailing in hiring and grooming talented writers, creatives and directors into BT for the sake of creating and running social fiction TV dramas suitable to current age TV audiences. Without fixing root cause, any number of hypes, outdoor shoots, promotions and marketing's she creates may not work going forward.

Daayans, chudails, raakshas, naagins etc. TV soaps bank more on fantasy, super naturals and vfx not on characterization, emotional connect, relatability or story. Same disoriented execution and OTT won't work on long running social fiction TV dramas, simple.

While BT is trying to suppress news about Sriti & Shabir also willing to move out of KKB..it may become imperative.. Also lets look at another angle this may be major cost cutting exercise for Ekta. Entire core cast contract renewals may be due next month, and Ekta may have to make legal clauses, promises and pay hikes to renew contracts and retain them for another year. From a business stand point, losing all senior actors at one go can save lot of money and if they get replaced by young and upcoming actors with new story on Zee at low budget, it may be worth giving a try for couple of months??😛

And lets accept another major FACT. Imagine even if core cast continues to work even in 2019, say without any leap happening in near future, KKB is already reduced as madam xxx story and actress L will continue to dominate screen space with poor acting, unbearable screeching and pathetic skin show with ill fitting clothes and caked makeup roaming freely in MM as if lady lord of the house. 😈 Many regular audiences and fans anyhow left watching this show live and may not come back seeing this unpunished unwanted ladies continued dominance, even if there's no leap.

Look Shikha & Anurag are talented and experienced not just in negative roles if written reasonably, even in layered grey and emotional characters they can add their value 😊 but where Aliya & Raj utilized last 1 year or so? It surprised why these two and even Vin as Purab continued in post 7 yrs leap KKB story in the first place with hardly few days per month to get to shoot.. 😕

Read most TV actors get paid by per day call sheets, so lesser days they are given to shoot on setts lesser pay cheques they can claim. In a way all these actors other than actress L could have lost out on their personal savings last 1 year? 😳

I said this earlier, seems BT kept another option alive for themselves..😉 re-name KKB slightly with a new tag line, use Abhi / Pragya to promote it as if a NEW show of Pragya's kids and ask audiences to bless these youngsters as well after ending KKB..🥱 just like BT team brought never existing two new Sarla daughters to launch spinoff called KDB as if Pragya's sisters story in 2017..😆 may be they are day dreaming if KDB got ready made viewership and still running like chewing gum with low cost actors, what if few miracles happen even with another spinoff on same Zee?
