Happy and her sister is raised by her mother after her father's demise. They stay in a huge bungalow that is her parental property. Her uncle is the eldest brother in the family who took the responsibility of his brother's family as well. However, her aunt doesn't have very good terms with happy and thinks that they are nothing but a both. Happy's mother who is diabetic as docile and protects her daughters.
As her name suggests, happy is a very happy go lucky kind of girl, who is full of life. She shares an amazing bond with her cousins and her own sister. She isn't much liked by her uncle's family and her grandmother and is tagged as a problem creator and a black sheep of the family.
It was her cousin's marriage and the girl's gang planned a dance performance, which gets spilt by happy. For that, her entire family scolds her and warns her and especially her uncle.
Her mother tells her to behave herself because it's their uncle who provides for them.
In the meantime from the groom's family Chintu, the eldest son starts falling for happy. He is a very sorted guy who takes care of the family. His brother, on the other hand, is a typical bad boy with all the wrong habits. He doesn't share a good rapport with his father but loves his brother.
Happy plans for a bachelorette despite of being warned by his sisters. That night she meets with an accident. Some rudy guys knock her car. Upon complaining to the police the situation worsens. The main guy of the gang smashes happy's car.
All the girl's get scared thinking how they are going to face their Uncle. Next morning when happy was questioned about the car, her little brother and sister save her by saying that she was with them yesterday night and is unsure about the event.
She could only breath shy of relief only till the groom arrives and she comes to know that the guy who broke the car was the groom's relative. Out of excitement and anger, she blurted out that the guy, whose name is Rocky broke the car.
Chintu like a responsible guy saves his brother and Happy from the situation by taking the entire blame on him.
Happy and rocky's Tashan continues in full swing while Chintu was gradually falling in love with Happy.
During the Mehendi ceremony happy asks her mother to come and apply Mehendi for which Dadi, Chintu and Rocky's grandmother insults happy's mother for being a widow. Happy argues with her and later was scolded by her uncle. They force her to apologise, which she does. Happy was further banned from attending her sister's engagement ceremony. However, happy being happy she fond of the way to be a part of it. She took the binoculars and goes to the terrace to view. Chintu arrives there and makes her listen by calling up his sister and asking to keep the phone on speaker mode.
While enjoying her ceremony happy saw Rocky making out with a girl jhari ke speech. Later when she was bumped onto them unintentionally, Rocky started to fight with her. Drunk, he held her asked her, her true intentions. He pinned her against a tree and tried to misbehave with her. but then released her abruptly. Finding space she escaped.
Rocky mixes something in her drink the next day. But Chintu consumed that drink. He over hears happy's words where she says that she will marry a guy who can dance and plans to dance with her. He didnt know that the drink he had consumed was spiked. He created a scene on the dance floor. He was rescued by rocky.
Happy gets to know that Rocky has spiked her drink and blames him for Chintu's state.
Happy thinks that both the brothers are same and they have ill intensions towards her. She plans to set them right for one cent for all.
Later happy finds out that one of her cousins are trying to be cosy with Rocky. She warns him not to mess with her sister and in the heat of the moment she blurts out his and his brother's cheap intention towards her. Unable to control his anger he pushes her into the pool.
Chintu who was searching for happy to apologize for his behaviour during last night drunk and dance finds her in the pool and thinks that she is drowning. Despite not knowing how to swim, he jumps into the pool to save her. Happy on the other hand saves him and then bad mouth's him for trying to flirt with her. Sadden Chintu leave the marriage.
Happy realizes her mistake and plans to bring back Chintu. She leaves the marriage and goes to Amritsar to bring him back. She was successful in her endeavour.
