Divyanka Tripathi gets trolled for wearing copy of a famous designer's

Divyanka Tripathi, who is known for playing the role of Ishita in TV show Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, recently attended an event wearing a pretty olive green dress with a golden belt. Little did she realise that she would be trolled for it. Diet Sabya, an Instagram handle known for pointing out bad copies of famous designers, mentioned she was sporting an iconic Sabyasachi belt which wasn't original.

Divyanka was quick to learn her mistake but couldn't stop herself from calling the handle's comment as 'rude and harsh'. She replied on the same post, "My genuine ignorance maybe a big fashion crime...but you guys definitely have the guts to be rude to another level. Thanks for pointing out the mistake. No thanks for being inhuman and harsh!"

Not just this, she has now posted an elaborate message calling the act as 'dishonourable, mean and vain' along with the screenshot of an Instagrammer's comment, who wrote in her favour.

She wrote

Sorry guys! I truly wanted to forget yesterday's episode when I was slammed and humiliated (by an insta profile and it's followers) for wearing a belt slightly similar to a branded piece (which I was ofcourse unaware of). But this comment!!!!!! I just couldn't resist putting up your comment on my post!

This happened to me and I felt so pressurised suddenly, felt like digging a hole and burrying my face. Imagine this happening with people who can't afford great dresses and designs, let alone a stylist or designer. In fact, NOT ALL CELEBRITIES AND STARS ARE RICH in contrast to a common expectation.
Few become stars because of their QUALITY OF WORK and NOT WHAT THEY WEAR and HOW MUCH THEY EARN or FOR THEIR KNOWLEDGE OF FASHION WORLD! Everybody has a different fort!
Bullying and belittling someone for that is SO DISHONORABLE, MEAN and VAIN! .
(PS : I could be right or wrong but at least I don't keep shut when being humiliated! It's a lesson for my readers-

Diet Sabya had shared Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's picture in the original belt along with Divyanka's plagiarised one, and their caption read,"#GutsOn A Sunday afternoon!! Anyways, celebrities should learn to ignore such posts. Most of them do. That fashion page previously trolled Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor, Jhanvi Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Arjun Kapoor etc. Some of them were personal and offensive. In case of DT, it was not like that. Even to my shock, I found many Bollywood A-listers follow this page including Alia, Jhanvi, Arjun Kapoor! That means these BW celebs take criticisms constructively and the page has acceptance as celebrity fashion police.

DT's fans name called the fashion page which is very childish without realizing the depth of it. DT herself was quick to employ her PR to counteract the post, hence these articles are coming. Saw, she even posted a long post explaining things but it came as playing the victim card. Her counter-narrative is, she was a small town girl, not born rich etc etc. Well, who are born rich in the industry except a few, even those, who are well off, have to work their butts of to make a place for themselves. Still every celeb, whether born rich or born poor/modest, is under media scrutiny. This is no excuse at all.
