And Rakesh ko kya bolu pata nhi.. IDK if he agreed just for the money n Arjun's selection or was her also worried that Sameer might abandon Naina after he's bored of her.. Even an ounce of worry?🤔

Sameer's anger was totally justified.. Arey koi bhi ladka bhaga k le jata ladki ko agar aise natak krte gharwale to.. Rishta fix ho gya phir suddenly tod diya.. Mazak h kya koi!!

SJM track coming ahead yahan bhi dekhte h show ka zyada pasand ata h ya FF ka😉

PS- kill that raste ka roda Rohan already😡

Haha Anji...tera comment padhke hi mood light ho jaata hai! 😃 Bobby is lombdi! 😆 Rakesh aur chinta...zara mushkil hai...filhaal main Rakesh se kaafi chidhi huyi hun show mein jo tamashe ho rahe hain unko leke! 😕
Wahin to Agarwal khandan ka dimag hi fir gaya hai! Diya leke dhundhne se bhi aisa damad nahi milega! (Bas EU wali Naina ko Diya leke Sameer milega...bad joke...Diya wali line se aa gaya! 😆)
Haan yaar...SJM track hai due yahan! Arey show se hamara kya muqabla behen! Hum to yahan hain to show ki badaulat! 😊
Haha...Rohan negative hain yahan...sach puchun to bore ho gayi thoda uske portrayal se as a really sweet man (upar se Preedit ke raste mein bhi hai show mein! 😉)!

It's so good to read dialogues and feel that this is exactly what a character would say in a given situation. This not only means the words and the tone used are apt, but also that the character you were writing all this time has been well received by the reader.
Hehe May...thank you so much! Main to sharma gayi! I'm so glad you could relate to the characters, their style of talking and the general tones to the characters in the show! 😊 I'm honoured! Seeti baja di! Wow! ❤️
Mr Somani aur Rakesh toh solid game khel rahe hai! Bobby toh step father hai.. Sameer Ki khushiya Kuch matter nahi karti.. but Rakesh is worse. Arjun ke moh mein Naina ke life se itna bada kheelwad!
Wahin to! Rakesh ke prati ko mujhe aur gussa aa gaya hai show ke baad...upar se drame...beti ka baap wale! 😕 Dekhti hun mood hoga ke nai isko redeem karne ka...abhi to nahi hai! 😉 Arjun bhi band bajayega yahan Rakesh ki! 😃
Sameer's self respect in the right context seems to be waking up now. Can't wait to see how he now sets out to prove himself and win the challenge set by Rakesh!
Yes...jaag gaya ladka...dil ko thes lagi! 😃All to be revealed soon!
Awesome twist and turns in this FF!
Thanks a lot May! 😳
And I just realised that I had put a res on this but had forgotten about it! 😳

Ohhh! No worries dear! Thank you for the comments! 😳

Hi Sur Darling
I am so so late to review this piece. But i know tum samajh jaogi.Akhir tum bhi busy rehti ho 😳

No bak bak..Diving straight to the reviews of updates-
First things first..I am extremely amazed by the way you are shaping both your FFs.Its no easy feat.Different stories different characterization different points of conflict. And it does not take a Socrates like philosopher's mind to judge or Shakespeare style writer's mind to decide that you are doing an awesome job.Kudos to you.👏

Each time I sit for reviewing this story,I get reminded of LIMA..Remembering how they have overcome their battle against the bleakness of trivial thing like Bet and now have another hurdle to overcome--The disloyalty of family.
The updates showed a mirror of how times were and how times are now.Somethings never change. The point that betrayal never comes from our enemies. It comes always from the one whom we consider our kin for eternity and beyond.Such a harsh truth of life.I have said before, and saying it again..I absolutely love the way how you bring such nuances to your story. You take the basic emotion of human life and make it a thing of conflict.Just like Shakespeare did.No doubt his works and your works are so appealing..So timeless.
I loved the detailings you added. The way Rakesh was called, the tone and modulation Somani used to totally cage Rakesh..I am really in state of utter surprise as to how Rakesh betrayed years of happiness of a child just to keep another child in spotlight.Like seriously..He stooped to another level as father.
You know ..The way you have added the dialogues, the scenes and have built up the moment I realised the quote ,that goes like this --'Anyone can be a father but it takes special to be Dad." Rakesh is only father.Bas!Not an iota of doubt.
I must say that Somani ,though ,being cheap and all master mind is being a Dad.He is proving how he caters to happiness of his own son.Rakesh can learn a point or two from this shrewd Dad.Well no expectations from both men.
Coming to Sameer..His condition made my heart wrench in emotions. While reading about Sameer a scene from a famed Telugu movie was going at back of my mind. The dialogue interaction perfectly suits the stance of Sameer. If bad luck had any address then perhaps it has found the address of this poor boy.And look who all are becoming his hurdles..His so called family and well wishers. The way he is being shown disloyalty,no doubt detachment follows..All this analysis, make me think that we are on a ride for some heavy emotional confrontations and scenes. And I know you will make me cry buckets and still pen all the dialogues and lines so poignantly and beautifully that I will end up reading again and again.
The ending dialogues..Oh my darling Sur! I cant say how much I love you..You always awaken the symbolism keeda in me.I absolutely loved how Sameer Jaiprakash maheshwari rose by climbing down the stairs.Climbing down,he promised to rise higher. If this is not growth, not the real development of character..I don't know what else it is.
Again the movie scene I was reffering to came back. The dialogue that a tiger can be ill but rabbit should not mistaken the strength of tiger and dance infront of him.Likewise Sameer is weak under burden now,but Somani and Rakesh clearly have mistaken the strength of our tiger.
I am awaiting the release of the strength of this actual fighter tiger. The excitement for further updates are mounting. So I request you to update soon.

Hope I didn't bore you this lamba comment. But truth to be said, the level of admiration I have for both of your stories, mere words cannot express it.

Thanks for bearing with my late reviews and PMs.
Keep coming with your best.
With love-
Minu

Bilkul dear! I understand fully! 🤗

Thanks a lot Minu! I know, I'm finding it really hard to manage time as well as the storylines and characterizations which are starkly different in both the stories! I'm so glad that you feel I'm able to do justice to the same till now...hope I can continue doing so!
Each time I sit for reviewing this story,I get reminded of LIMA..Remembering how they have overcome their battle against the bleakness of trivial thing like Bet and now have another hurdle to overcome--The disloyalty of family.

O bai Shakespeare! Nahi nahi dear...he's a legend..hum to kahin nahi hain behen uske muqable mein! 😊 I'm just an amateur trying to express her dil ki baat...because I was so connected to the story and the characters!
Aur yeh baat ekdum sahi kahi Minu...many a times the ones who betray are us are those to whom we feel close...and they end up taking advantage of our vulnerability and trust! Khair- What comes around goes around- jo jaisa karega vaisa bharega aur yeh Somani aur Rakesh ko to definitely! 😡
Yes there is definitely a correlation between LIMA, the start of their love story from a thing as trivial as the bet to their present situation...😳 Also, there might be just more of it in future! 😉
And I'm glad you liked the conversation and dialogues here.

Thank you so much dear...truly humbled by your words! And wow- I'm always in awe of the symbolism you and Shreya find out! And yeah- the following parts might be emotional...and that was a reason why I started the story on a light note, focussing a lot on their romance...a good decision or a bad one- only time and all you readers will tell! 😳
Again the movie scene I was reffering to came back. The dialogue that a tiger can be ill but rabbit should not mistaken the strength of tiger and dance infront of him.Likewise Sameer is weak under burden now,but Somani and Rakesh clearly have mistaken the strength of our tiger.

Hope I didn't bore you this lamba comment. But truth to be said, the level of admiration I have for both of your stories, mere words cannot express it.
Arey yaar...how can I get bored with any review- good or bad, it gives me a direction as to how involved my readers feel with what ever I pen down- what seemed fine and what needed to be improved. I always rely on you to give an honest feedback! ❤️ And this story, I'm definitely updating this weekend! 😊
Thanks for bearing with my late reviews and PMs.

Hello friends!
I'm back with another update to this story! Thank you to all those who've showered their love and support on this FF of mine as well! ❤️

I know I'm super late in giving the updates to this one, but frankly Sameer sang Naina is much more difficult to write for me. I'm still not very satisfied with the way the update has turned out to be here, but didn't want to delay it any further!

This one is dedicated to Minu aka TereLiyeMinu! Thank you Minu for being an ardent lover of this story! This one is your belated Birthday gift! I hope you like it!

Part 4: The Story Untold

Friday, 30th September, 1994, 9.30 pm:

"Sameer...tu itna chup kyun hai beta? Dekh...tu bhool jaa Naina ko...duniya mein achi ladkiyon ki kami nahi hai...main tere liye Naina se bhi achi ladki dhundh dungi beta...par tu please kuch bol toh! Vishakha pleaded.

"Mummy...aap please mujhe akela chod dijiye! came the curt response.

"Haan koi nahi beta...pehle tu thoda khana to kha le, khane se kya bair...fir tujhe jitna time chahiye le le... bhool ja jo hua aaj!

"Maine kaha na mujhe bhook nahi hai!

Mr. Somani appeared at the doorway of Sameer's room. "Jaane do Vishakha...kyun zidd kar rahi ho? Aajkal ke bacchon ko apni zidd ke aage kuch dikhta hi nahi hai...chahe maa baap gidgidate rahein...!

Sameer glanced coldly at him. "Aapke concern ke liye thank you. Lekin yeh meri problem hai...ise main khud manage kar lunga...aap log jayie yahan se!

"Sameer...papa hai tumhare...theek se baat karo! Vishakha berated.

"Inse kyun nahi bolti ki mere maamle mein taang na adaaye...! Sameer snapped.

"Haan hum bheek maang rahe hain unke aage jholi faila ke...socho Vishakha...Somanis bheek maang rahe hain kis liye...tumhare is ladle ke liye...aur yeh mahashay bol rahe hain ki mere maamle mein taang na adayein! Mr. Somani retorted.

"Sameer kya matlab hai tera...arey hum har darje mein unse upar hain...society mein hamare aur unke status mein kitna fark hai...hum rayees hain...businessclass aur wo sab naukripesha...aur bura mat manana Sameer...lekin mujhe Naina ke pitaji ka swabhav zara bhi pasand nahi...! Vishakha tried to make him understand. "Phir bhi hum sab adjust kar rahe hain...teri khushi ke liye...aur main maanti hun Naina ek achi ladki hai...par beta rishta to unhone toda hai na...wo bhi humein wajah tak batana zaruri nahi samjha...us din to shaadi ki tareekh pakki kar rahe the aur aaj achanak se...meri to kuch samajh bhi nahi aa raha...lekin agar wo itna akad rahe hain...to hum bhi nahi jhukenge ab...Sameer pyaar apni jagah hota hai aur self-respect apni jagah!

Sameer turned away sadly. "Self-respect? Kaisi self-respect? Meri to koi respect hi nahi hai...!

"Kya keh raha hai tu Sameer! Vishakha exclaime in exasperation.

"Yahi ki rishta todne ki wajah hai...aur wo wajah main hoon...! Sameer uttered morosely.

"Tu? Vishakha stared in surprise and Vivek Somani quirked his brows at the apparent revelation.

And then Sameer narrated the entire incident at Naina's house in the evening. He told her how Rakesh felt him not worthy of taking care of Naina and that he was far beneath her in every aspect of life- he'd had a marred upbringing, was reckless, and could never be successful at whatever he did in his life!

Vishakha stared at him with her mouth agape. "How dare that man insinuate her son like this? What had Rakesh himself done in his life except being a burden on his two other brothers?

"Beta...tune unse kaha nahi ki tu padhai ke saath saath apne Nanu ka business bhi seekh raha hai...aise kaise bol sakte hain wo? Vishakha exclaimed.

Mr. Somani chimed in at that moment, "vaise Vishakha...bura na maano to ek baat kahun...aakhir us Librarian ne kya galat kaha...?

Vishakha and Sameer were stunned at the words. Vivek continued, "ab hamara Sameer utna capable nahi hai to nahi hai na...ab apne dono beton ko hi dekh lo...kaun kaabil lagta hai dono mein se?

Vishakha couldn't meet Sameer's gaze, but she tried her best to defend him. "Ji aisi baat nahi hai...Munshiji ne mujhe bataya hai ki Sameer papa ki factory ka kaam bahot jaldi seekh raha hai...plus wo abhi saath mein padhai bhi to kar raha hai na!

"Vishakha...business seekhna aur use chalana do alag cheezein hain...maine to koi exceptional returns dekhe nahi jabse papa gaye hain...aur fir...unhone toh khud ko aag mein jhulsa ke...kitne sacrifices kar ke yeh daulat, shohrat kamai...frankly...Sameer mein wo baat nahi hai...chaandi ka chammach leke paida hua hai...bachpan se hi aish aur aaraam ki aadat rahi hai...bas paise udao...zidd karo...kabhi responsibility to dekhi nahi isne...infact...main to soch raha hun Sameer ke liye kahin ek achi si job hi lagwa dun! Mr. Somani elaborated, the acridity in his voice not unnoticed by Sameer.

He'd had enough. First Rakesh, then Somani. Naina had taught him to tame his anger the best he could, but he knew trying to do it tonight would be futile. He would burst on the inside. And he did not care. Neither Rakesh had any iota of affection for him nor had Somani ever loved him as his own son. To add to it, his step-father reveled in showering praises upon Rohan and taunts upon Sameer- his favorite one being that Sameer was incapable of handling the family business.

Mr. Somani was arguing with Vishakha who was again trying to take Sameer's side, pointing out that he was still quite young and kind of impulsive and that with time, things changed. Already, he'd matured in the last three to four years. Some boys just grow up a little late.

"Bas kijiye aap dono! Sameer's cry broke the bickering between husband and wife.

Sameer turned to Somani. "Bol liya aapne? Khatam ho gayi aapki puraan? Sameer yeh nahi kar sakta...wo nahi kar sakta...badhiya challenge hai...aur main yeh challenge accept karta hoon...ek din na yeh Sameer Maheshwari itna kamyaab banega na ki aapki zaban pe hamesh ke liye tala lag jayega...aur haan mujhe aapki sifarishi naukri ki koi zarurat nahi hain...jis tarah se akele pal gaya...naukri bhi khud hi dhundh sakta hoon!

"Sameer beta shaant ho jaaye...aur tumhe naukri kyun karni hai...papa ka business tumhara hi to hai! Vishakha chipped.

"Vishakha...josh mein kahi huyi baaton ko seriously nahi lete...badi badi fenkna to iski purani aadat hai...jaisa baap...vaisa beta! Mr. Somani's voice was laced with hate.

Vishakha stood shocked at Vivek's words. It wasn't everyday that he mentioned her deceased husband and what had transpired years ago. A silence ensued for a few moments as Sameer and Vishakha tried to process the taunt. He'd the daring to drag his father into all this? Sameer glared at him.

"Please aap Shravan ko beech mein mat laaiye! Vishakha muttered embarrassedly.

"Kyun...lane dijiye naa...inko to mauka chahiye...mujhe aur mere papa pe kichad uchalne ka! Sameer matched the loathing in Somani's voice.

Somani smirked, "kaam kiye hi kichad uchalne wale the...pehle chori...fir seenajori...aur baat nahi bani to pankhe se latak gaye janab...apni biwi ko do saal ke bacche ke saath besahara chod ke!

Vishakha was appalled.

"Mere papa chor nahi the! Sameer exclaimed vehemently. "Aur aaj ke baad unka naam apni zubaan pe mat layiega...varna najane main kya kar baithun!

"Bolunga...hazar baar bolunga...jo sach hai wo hai...tum ek chor ki...ek dhokebaaz ki aulaad ho Sameer...aur yeh baat tum bhi ache se jaante ho...yeh to tumhare pyaare Nanu ne bhi tumhe bataya tha na...kya...kya kaha tha tumse...kuch yaad hai?

"Nanu ko galatfehmi huyi thi...maine kaha na mere papa chor nahi the matlab nahi the...! Sameer gritted his teeth in fury.

"Haan bhai...papaji ko galatfehmi...Vishakha ko galatfehmi...bas tumhe hi sab sach pata hai kyun? Somani prodded.

"Mummy...inhe samjha dijiye...abhi mera dimag bahot garam hai!

Vishakha tried to placate both her husband and her son.

"Acha...dhamki de rahe ho...kya karoge tum haan? Kya kar sakte ho?

Vishakha cut-off the argument.

"Rehne dijiye mummy...kise samjha rahi hain! Sameer said disgustedly.

"Huh...Sameer...dimag thanda karo...aur jao khana kha lo...jo ho gaya so ho gaya...jo tumhare bas ka hai wo karo...bhul jao Naina ko nahi toh..., Mr. Somani said, only to be broken off by the sound of the copper vase smashing onto the floor. Sameer stood besides it, eyeing him with murderous rage. "Nahi to kya...ghar se nikal denge...chor bolenge...kya kar lenge aap? he hollered.

"Sameer beta...kya keh rahe ho...hum log kyun nikalenge beta...yeh ghar tumhara hi hai...bas papa aur main iski dekhbhaal kar rahe hain jab tak tum 25 ke nahi ho jate! Vishakha tried to calm Sameer and turned to Vivek, "aur aap kya kahe jaa rahe hain...jaante hain na wo kitne gusse mein hai abhi...ek to Naina ke papa upar se aap...thoda chain to lene dijiye ise!

Mr. Somani held up his hands in defeat and said, "bhai mera kya hai main chup rahunga...tumhare ladle se vaise bhi mujhe to koi umeed nahi hai...das saal baad bhi yeh aise hi nikkamma pada hoga aur logon pe gussa karta rahega! Jaisa sasur...vaisa damaad! Dono worthless!

With this, Mr. Somani stormed out of the room calling out for Rohan.

Vishakha turned to Sameer. "Dekh beta...tu inki baaton pe dhyaan mat de...! But Sameer wasn't in a mood to listen. "Aapke pati ke ehsaan aapko Mubarak...na mujhe aapki koi help chahiye na aapke pati ki...ab aap jayengi ya aapko special invitation bhijwayenge Rohan ke papa?

"Sameer...mind your language! Tum itni badtameezi se baat kar sakte ho maine kabhi socha nahi tha!

"Yahin to problem hai aapne mere baare mein kabhi socha hi nahi! Sach to yeh hai ki aap bhi selfish ho!

Vishakha did not answer his accusation. She stood waiting for him to turn to her and calm down. But when he didn't, she too left the room, albeit in tears.

It was then that Sameer suddenly felt horribly guilty. He'd taken out his anger meant for his step-father at his mother. The scene at Naina's house, coupled with his taunts had messed up his brain. Wasn't his mother the only blood relation he had? And he loved her. Despite the way she'd abandoned him. And he knew that she also truly cared for him.

It was around twelve when Sameer's anger finally subsided. Unable to sleep due to tortuous events of the evening, he finally went up to his mother's room to check upon her. The door was partly ajar. He could hear Mr. Somani snoring on one side, and then he heard his mother sobbing on the opposite end. His heart clenched. Wasn't Rakesh sir right? He was really no good! What good person makes their mother cry?

He entered the room silently and slowly went over to where Vishakha was lying down. Sensing his presence, her sobbing immediately stopped and she shut her eyes, feigning sleep. His mother's frigidity, her aloofness further pained Sameer. He came up to the bedside and knelt beside the bed. He took her palm in his and pressed his cheek onto it. And started crying. His tears wet Vishakha's hands and she could feel his body racking with sobs. Her motherly instincts forgot all animosity and she immediately turned him up to face her. "Sameer? Sameer beta? she whispered, simulataneously wiping away his tears.

"I'm sorry mom! I'm really sorry! Main bahot bura hoon...bahot bura beta hoon...jo apni maa ko khush nahi rakh sakta...wo kisi aur ladki ke kabil kaise banega? Sameer blabbered with a tear-stained face.

Vishakha got up and pulled him to her chest while Sameer continued to cry, now holding onto her tightly for comfort. Vishakha patted his back lovingly, planting kissed on his hair and rocked him about to placate him. After several minutes, Sameer finally calmed down. When he looked up, he saw his mother was in tears too. He carefully swept the tears away from his mother's face. "Aap mat ro please...mujhe maaro chahiye toh..., he took her palms and slapped his face. But Vishakha stopped him and kissed his forehead. "I'm sorry too beta! And Sameer somehow knew she meant it. And that it was her apology for not being around ever- for not playing the role of a good mother to Sameer.

Half and hour later, Vishakha and Sameer sipped cups of steaming hot coffee prepared especially by her.

"Mom! Kya aapko papa ke baare mein yeh sab sunna acha lagta hai? Sameer broke the silence with the question that had been plaguing him for years.

Vishakha waited for a second and then shook her head. "Nahi beta...nahi acha lagta...lekin sach to sach hota hai..!

"Mom...aapko sach mein lagta hai galti unki thi? Chori unhone ki?

"Mujhe kya lagta hai isse koi fark nahi padta...sare saboot hamare saamne the beta...! Papa ne khud wo fraud pakda tha!

"Par unhone to kabhi maana nahi na?

"Shayad apni galti maan lete to hum maaf bhi kar dete...lekin ant tak wo nahi mane! Aur fir...fir to tu jaanta hai...! Vishakha went into fits of tears at the memory of that fateful day.

Sameer placed an arm around her and both mother and son comforted each other in their misery.

"Mumma...main Naina ko nahi khona chahta! Ji nahi paunga uske bina! Jaise aap aaj bhi papa ko yaad karti ho...kya aap chahti ho ki meri bhi halat vaisi hi ho? Mumma...aap nahi jaanti ki Naina meri kitni parvah karti hai...matlab shayad jo kami aapke door jane se aapke pyaar ki reh gayi thi wo jaane anjaane mein Naina ne puri kar di...aur ab is pyaar ke bina jeena mumkin nahi hai mere liye! Bikhar jaunga main mumma!

Vishakha contemplated Sameer's words. "Tujhe yakeen hai Naina tera saath har mushkil me degi? Tere pass kuch ho na ho?

Sameer nodded. "Pura yakeen hai mummy!

"Jawani ke josh mein insaan kabhi kabhi saamne wale ki kamiyan nahi pehchan pata beta...aisa lagta hai jo wo keh raha hai wahi sach hai...jaise duniya mein sabse acha...sabse sacha wahin hai...lekin kayi baar logon ka humse pyaar jatane ka...ya hamare kareeb aane ka maksad kuch aur hota hai...aur wo maksad humein pata chalne mein kabhi bahot der ho jati hai...jaise shayad mujhe huyi thi!

"Naina vaisi nahi hai mummy! Mera dil kehta hai!

Vishakha pressed his hand assuringly, knowing it would be futile to make him understand that sometimes it was better to listen to your mind rather than your heart- for contrary to what people say, her experience told her that the heart may not always be right.

"Mummy...main bhi uske layak banna chahta hun...main chahta hun ki log yeh na kahe ki Sameer handsome hai...ya Sameer ameer hai...balki yeh kahein ki Sameer kitna mehnati hai...kitna kamyaab hai!

"To ban kamyaab beta...aur apni kamyaabi ka hissa Naina ko bhi bana...mujhe wo ladki pasand hai...but pata nahi kyun...uske pitaji...unka swabhav...wo tujhe zara bhi pasand nahi karte main janti hun...lekin is tarah beizzat karna...! Vishakha pondered and then deciding something, she held Sameer's hand, "Sameer...lekin tujhe ek promise karna hoga...ab main teri ya hamari insult nahi hone dungi...ab yeh rishta tabhi hoga jab wo humse tera rishta maangne aayenge...aur isliye main chahti hun ki tu aaj sabko galat sabit kar...Naina ke papa ko...apne papa ko...aur bas apne Nanu ka naam roshan kar...ab samay aa gaya hai beta ki tu wo ban jo tere Nanu tujhe banana chahte the...Sameer JaiPrakash Maheshwari!

such a stalker I am
I am back
you must be like why I took so much time to comment
because Sur I was Re reading it again and then again
because I needed the strength for the journey they will facing beyond this.
I wanted to be assure that they will there with each other and hence I went back to make myself infinite times sure that samaina will be together.
Now coming back to this chapter
woww this was so high on emotion
I literally had tears in my eyes.
Somani is pushing all his wrong buttons by instigating him
but no use mr somani because this will only prove fruitful to him
He will stand out
and you and your rohan can go and die together.
For the very first time I saw someone take a story on Sameer's father.
I really am looking forward to it.
There is some huge plot behind this I am sure.
Vishaka still needs to come out of her somani jaap
though she is still better here than in the show.
And sameer has now decided that he will prove to each one of them who points a finger at him that he is worthy of being the true owner of nanu's wealth
And I am eagerly excited to see that how will naina help him and be with him going behind rakesh's back
It will really an exciting journey from here
continue soon
