I think Veer is the crux of the story . I've my doubts on him . For a guy who's supposed to be in love with Jhanvi , he seems way to calm to be in on the plan of Jhanvi marrying Akarsh for the mangal sutra . Makes me wonder whether he's even the real Veer . May be he's working under Daayan's control , that's why he's finding out so much information on that said topic so fast and so accurately , even that book ! Also , it was he who told Jhanvi the entire story of Garvlakhsmi , sola shringar and holy mangalsutra of the Adityavanshis .
Why do I feel there are more than one daayan after the malgalsutra's power ??
Yes , even Akarsh seems way too calm to get married to Nandini . He's losing the love of his life for good , there should've been more angst . He
I even find Jhanvi's cousin brother suspicious ! 😆
Honestly I find akarsh's character the most disappointing in the show. To a larger extent everything jhanvi does and the way she reacts is understandable given what she's experiencing due to the daayan on top of akarsh's seemingly toying and flirtatious way with girls that makes jhanvi hesitant to fall for him, yet akarsh in no way can I understand.
Throughout the jealousy marriage track, his actions, expressions and dialogue, especially in sunday's episode were completely nonsensical given that he only proposed to nandini to make his real love jhanvi jealous, yet nothing about the way he acted or his expressions made it seem like a guy whom was in love with jhanvi, marrying nandini unwillingly only with a plan of making jhanvi propose etc. There's nothing about akarsh's scenes that make you understand his character and make sense of his actions.
He supposedly loves jhanvi, but only comes across as a egotistic and flirty brat who acts like jhanvi is distrusting of him and accuses him of playing with girl's feelings for no fault of his own. I would be on his side a little more than jhanvi's in those arguments where she accuses him of playing with girl's feelings etc if he actually tried to counter those accusations properly by saying it's just harmless flirting and he never does anything wrong with those girls, but nope. He himself acted in ways that gave jhanvi a negative impression of him, then shows equal amounts of attitude when she's mad at him.
It's like he just expects her to fall in love with him like that jsut because he thinks he's hot property that every girl wants to be with, but if he ever felt that his feelings for jhanvi were genuine, why did he never ever ask jhanvi why she thinks of him so negatively and try to explain his stance to jhanvi?
If I was the one who wrote his scenes, I would have shown him feeling upset and frustrated whenever jhanvi tried to show she didn't care about his and nandini's marriage, would actually show him physically avoiding nandini's advances instead of those stupid awkward smiles he does whilst letting nandini touch him, then when jhanvi finally admitted her love I would have kept the part where he asked jhanvi to prove her love for him without all that terrible crap he said to her before it that made no sense, then when he saw time was up and hadn't heard jhanvi's announcement, him being really disappointed instead of that odd smug and passive reaction he showed, then when he realises she did complete his condition, him being happy and accepting her love.
What I suggested in comparison to what they showed of akarsh makes so much more sense. For this reason I haven't been enjoying akarsh's character whatsoever, only his chemistry with jhanvi, but even that I can't fully enjoy it with the way akarsh's character is written.
