As we saw in promo that during the marriage to akarsh whilst she is wearing the mangalsutra, the daayan is able to possess jhanvi by entering the mangalsutra. This shows that whatever assumption jhanvi is under right now about the mangalsutra gaining powers able to destroy the daayan if worn by the adityavanshi bride during wedding is a lie concocted by the daayan herself to mislead jhanvi into actually falling into the daayan's real trap of jhanvi marrying akarsh wearing the mangalsutra. That also means that everything nandini was saying, which was overheard by jhanvi in yesterday's episode was an act.

Then something occurred to me. Akarsh has been too chillaxed and guilt-free with the idea of proposing to nandini to make jhanvi jealous. Akarsh doesn't seem like the kind of guy who would be that okay with playing with a girl's feelings. That must mean that nandini is in on his plan of making jhanvi jealous. That this whole marriage is a sham just for akarsh to get jhanvi to realise her love for him and for nandini's plan of getting jhanvi to marry adityavanshi akarsh whilst wearing that mangalsutra so daayan can possess jhanvi. Whilst akarsh is perhaps under the misconception that nandini is helping him as a friend to get his love, but she has her own evil motive behind helping him to unite with jhanvi? 😲

What do you guys think? Could this be what's really going on?

Actually mangalsutra is a way for the person who owns it to communicate with daayan and Jhanvi doesnt know how to use it yet so daayan used it against her. It seems like a both ways thing, the owner can also affect the daayan via it or the daayan too can.
It doesnt seem like Nandni is helping Akarsh as a friend because she was already at hotel way before Jhanvi and none of them (AKarsh or Nandni) knew about Jhanvi's presence in hotel at those late hours. So they didnt do the date thing to make Jhanvi jealous.
Nandini does have some motive and may be working for Daayan and may be Veer too after being abducted but can't say yet. As of now I think the mangalsutra can actually help Jhanvi otherwise Nandini wouldn't have pushed Jhanvi off the building and nearly killed her when she got to know that Jhanvi knew about mangalsutra and that Jhanvi knew about Nandini wanting the mangalsutra for its power.
Initially I also thought that mangalsutra may actually be for daayan's benefit and the daayan is plnning against Jhanvi to make her think that mangalsutra is helpfull but yesterday episode, and then the daayan blocking the temple gate, it looks like the mangalsutra can actually help Jhanvi too. But still confused why in promo the daayan said that this (Jhanvi marrying and wearing that mangalsutra) was the thing daayan was waiting for to finish Jhanvi.

I think Veer is the crux of the story . I've my doubts on him . For a guy who's supposed to be in love with Jhanvi , he seems way to calm to be in on the plan of Jhanvi marrying Akarsh for the mangal sutra . Makes me wonder whether he's even the real Veer . May be he's working under Daayan's control , that's why he's finding out so much information on that said topic so fast and so accurately , even that book ! Also , it was he who told Jhanvi the entire story of Garvlakhsmi , sola shringar and holy mangalsutra of the Adityavanshis .
Why do I feel there are more than one daayan after the malgalsutra's power ??
Yes , even Akarsh seems way too calm to get married to Nandini . He's losing the love of his life for good , there should've been more angst . He

I even find Jhanvi's cousin brother suspicious ! 😆

Honestly I find akarsh's character the most disappointing in the show. To a larger extent everything jhanvi does and the way she reacts is understandable given what she's experiencing due to the daayan on top of akarsh's seemingly toying and flirtatious way with girls that makes jhanvi hesitant to fall for him, yet akarsh in no way can I understand.

Throughout the jealousy marriage track, his actions, expressions and dialogue, especially in sunday's episode were completely nonsensical given that he only proposed to nandini to make his real love jhanvi jealous, yet nothing about the way he acted or his expressions made it seem like a guy whom was in love with jhanvi, marrying nandini unwillingly only with a plan of making jhanvi propose etc. There's nothing about akarsh's scenes that make you understand his character and make sense of his actions.

He supposedly loves jhanvi, but only comes across as a egotistic and flirty brat who acts like jhanvi is distrusting of him and accuses him of playing with girl's feelings for no fault of his own. I would be on his side a little more than jhanvi's in those arguments where she accuses him of playing with girl's feelings etc if he actually tried to counter those accusations properly by saying it's just harmless flirting and he never does anything wrong with those girls, but nope. He himself acted in ways that gave jhanvi a negative impression of him, then shows equal amounts of attitude when she's mad at him.

It's like he just expects her to fall in love with him like that jsut because he thinks he's hot property that every girl wants to be with, but if he ever felt that his feelings for jhanvi were genuine, why did he never ever ask jhanvi why she thinks of him so negatively and try to explain his stance to jhanvi?

If I was the one who wrote his scenes, I would have shown him feeling upset and frustrated whenever jhanvi tried to show she didn't care about his and nandini's marriage, would actually show him physically avoiding nandini's advances instead of those stupid awkward smiles he does whilst letting nandini touch him, then when jhanvi finally admitted her love I would have kept the part where he asked jhanvi to prove her love for him without all that terrible crap he said to her before it that made no sense, then when he saw time was up and hadn't heard jhanvi's announcement, him being really disappointed instead of that odd smug and passive reaction he showed, then when he realises she did complete his condition, him being happy and accepting her love.

What I suggested in comparison to what they showed of akarsh makes so much more sense. For this reason I haven't been enjoying akarsh's character whatsoever, only his chemistry with jhanvi, but even that I can't fully enjoy it with the way akarsh's character is written.
