Takht was announced after Sanju. RK supposedly rejected the role of Aurangzeb.

Also Adi has never tried to push YRF films on Veer when he was busy with his SLB epics. YRF really let SLB hog Ranveer for years. Adi's understanding with SLB over Veer was really crucial as without it Ranveer would probably have found it difficult to take up SLB projects with the level of commitment he did.

Yeah, I read the Rohit Adi blind. Adi maybe not the nuturing type but he is a good mentor who made the deal possible.

I think it is not from Adi's side but from Ranveer's side. His sense of loyalty is what makes him take up all the YRF projects he get offered crappy or not.

I remember reading somewhere (around Befikre promotion time) that Adi/YRF and SLB have an understanding that fecilitated Ranveer to shoot RamLeela and Gunday simaltaneously and also SLB let Ranveer have some days off for Befikre promotion during Padmaavat shooting because of the understanding they have.

Yeahh would have been for the audience 😛 . I doubt they would wanna act together though.

And how funny KJO wanted RK to play the younger brother even though RK is older than RS and also does look older too 😆

So, did RK reject the role then?

this year they hav the hrithik/tiger movie which is a big one, but they also need to start making quality movies, they need better writers and much better directors

Tiger vs HR and Shamshera, Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar (rumoured not confirmed) are the only movies. Dharma got Kalank, Good News, Kesari, Brahmastra.. interesting.

YRF's medium/small budget movies like BBB, Ishaqzaade were so good. Now they are really bad. Did not watch Hichki so don't know about it.. They let go of directors like Kabir Khan, Ali Abbas Zadar but is holding on to Victor. It has been years since Shimit directed a movie. Maneesh is good but I did not like Fan that much tbh. They do need good directors and scripts.

YRF for the past couple of years have been banking on their big ticket Khan movies way too much. Now that their safe bet Khan movie flopped they should re-think their strategy.

I don't think so. I mean lots of people without being in KJO's gang (in terms of movies) are doing good for themselves.. ex: DP, RS, Sonam, Shahid, PC, Kat, ayushman, RKR, etc.

The only case where he made someone's career is Alia, and maybe that's just a very rare thing...

He's definitely Nepotistic where he will only give "star kids the launch pad, but idk if he's that powerful to break or make someone's career.
