Chapter 101

"What is he doing here?" Karan glared at Ranbir.

"I invited him over" Araina intervened, "don't even think about saying anything to him"

Karan looked over scowling at Ranbir.

"Karan" Anisha warned her son, he looked away huffing.

"Ranbir bete, kaise ho?"

"Main teek hoon aunty" he answered politely, though continued to glance over at Karan wondering if he was going to pull out a gun or something to get rid of him.

"What shall we play?" Vikrant called out as he joined them on the beach, dadima, Meera followed. A few minutes later, Maan, Geet joined with Rano and Mohini.

"You should let Geet and Maan decide" Dadima responded to Vikrant.

Vikrant started laughing shaking his head. "Yeah dadima, what a great joke"

"What's so funny?" Geet frowned.

"You don't know the meaning of game or play" Vikrant replied.

"Vikrant" Geet scowled smacking his arm.

"Bhabhi choose something" Araina told her.

"Volleyball" Geet chose.

"Do you know how to play volleyball?" Maan looked at Geet.

"Do you know how to play?" she replied.

"Nice bhabhi" Vikrant laughed.

"Alright, everyone go and play. Anisha, we'll set up here" Dadima pointed.

"What are we going to play volleyball with?" Karan asked. "You didn't even get a ball"

"I'll run up to the shop and get one" Vikrant said and turned hurrying towards the beach shop.

After Vikrant returned, they teamed up into a team of 3-4. Maan, Geet, Karan in a team, Vikrant, Araina, Meera and Ranbir in the second team.

On Geet's side, Maan and Karan mostly played because Geet didn't know how to play. She'd avoided the ball and stepped back whenever the ball flew over to her side.

Maan made sure Geet didn't exert herself and threw the ball over to the other immediately whenever it came flying over to their side.

Out of the 6 rounds they played, it ended on a tie. Before they could say they wanted another match, dadima and Rano called them over for sandwiches and drinks.

"I don't want the cheese sandwich" Geet shook her head.

"Tuna, egg or chicken?" Dadima asked. "Cucumbers and butter?"

"Um..." Geet glanced at the spread. "I'll eat the cucumber one" she picked that out grabbing a few cheese n onion crisps and slipped them in between her sandwiches and ate.

"Who puts crisps in between their sandwiches?" Vikrant scrunched his nose.

"Everyone" Karan, Araina, Meera and Maan responded.

"You've never tried it?" Ranbir asked.

"No thanks" Vikrant shook his head.

"What else have you got planned today dadima?" Maan asked.

"Why?"

"Just asking" he shrugged.

"When we go home later on, I've got us booked at a table for a family dinner"

"Where have you got us booked?" Vikrant questioned.

"You'll find out when you arrive" dadima responded.

"Want to go for a swim bhabhi?" Araina asked standing up after she finished eating.

Geet shook her head "I'm going to rest here for a while" she told her.

"I'll join" Meera stood.

The two girls disappeared for a brief moment, they shucked off their beach dresses and returned in their swim suits skipping towards the blue water.

Vikrant pushed down his sunglasses and gaped at his wife.

"Look away from my sister or I'm going to dig your eyes out" Karan narrowed his eyes at Ranbir who'd been admiring Araina.

Maan smirked shaking his head and looked at Geet who'd frowned looking between Karan and Maan.

"Karan, leave him alone" Geet told him off. "They're dating now"

"Did you hear that mama? Your daughter is dating him" Karan called out to Anisha.

"I heard and I'm happy for my daughter" Anisha responded. "Karan, agar tune kuch aur kahan main abhi kasam kha ke keh rahi hoon, ke main teri shadi announce karlungi"

"Wh..." Karan looked at his mother stumped and scowled at Geet who started laughing.

"I suggest you look away or I start digging at your eyes" Maan warned Karan.

"Support your wife, why don't you..." Karan complained and looked at Ranbir, he itched to say something but knew his mother all too well. She'd follow through with her threat.

"I think I'm going to go join my wife" Vikrant stood pulling off his vest and jogged towards the water.

"Why don't you join them?" Maan looked at Karan. "You could do with cooling off"

"Shut up"

Maan chuckled and looked at Geet when she poked him.

"I want coconut water and go there" she pointed.

Maan wondered where there' was but he didn't ask, instead he stood brushing his hands over his shorts ridding the sand and took Geet's hand.

Maan thanked the seller and handed Geet the coconut, she smiled cheerfully and sipped her drink, entwining her arm around Maan's shoulder as he continued walking ahead.

"Want to drink some?" Geet asked.

"No thanks, I don't like it" Maan shook his head.

"Do you know how many health benefits this has?" she looked at him thoughtfully.

"I'm guessing you're going to tell me" Maan chuckled.

"Are you taunting me?" she frowned.

"Would I do such a thing?" he chuckled pressing his lips at her temple.

"Yes, you would" Geet loosened her arm around his elbow, Maan didn't let her step away, instead he slipped his arm around her waist and held her to his side.

"When do you start your course?" he asked.

"I wanted to start as soon as but the smell of some food is annoying me" Geet pouted.

"Maybe wait a little while before you go onto your cooking course" he suggested. "From the books some nuisances only last for a trimester or something. You're nearing your second trimester" he added. "But then everybody is different"

"I'll wait for a little while, once I can handle some I'll book myself" she responded. "I am looking forward to doing all that" she grinned though her smile faltered for a moment. "Maan... Will I still be able to do it though? After baby comes?" she looked at him.

"I'll be there with you" he promised. "If it means I take off a few weeks or come home early for you to go on these courses I'll do it. I've always wanted you to achieve your dream first and find your footing here" he responded gently.

Geet felt her swell in relief and proudly, she couldn't have gotten a better partner than her husband at this moment, he is always saying something or doing something which makes her fall in love over and over.

She smiled nodding, Maan pulled her close pressing a gentle kiss to her forehead.

"Now, where is there?" he asked her looking around.

"Can you see the ice lolly vendor?" she pointed. "Look at all those pretty colours. I want the strawberry flavour" she informed.

"Alright, we'll get some for everyone else as well" he agreed and walked towards the vendor.

"I think I want to move here after I get married" Amelia told Puja as they returned to their hotel for the night. She absolutely loved Dubai, they'd gone to the beach then ate out, after that they'd gone shopping in the biggest mall in the centre followed by a quiet dinner where they were both approached by handsome men however they refused seeing as they were both taken.

"Yep! I should tell Vijay" Puja chuckled.

"So you serious about him then?"

"Who? Vijay?"

"Yeah, who else?" Amelia laughed.

"I don't know, we've gone out a few times. He's nice an all but I'm still unsure. Like sexually he's really good in bed but you know sex isn't everything. It doesn't make a good relationship"

"Yeah, agree with you there" Amelia nodded. "Though I'd like sex to be a great factor in my relationship"

"You're with a Khurana, it might be mind-blowing" Puja winked.

"Only that Khurana wants to wait until we get to know each other properly" Amelia rolled her eyes.

"It's good" Puja laughed. "I'd like to meet someone who'd like to wait rather than jump right in, you're so lucky in that department"

"Hmm maybe" Amelia shrugged. "He's got the looks and responsibility, rich as well. We'll just have to wait to see whether he's good in bed"

"I'm sure he would be" Puja winked. "Look at Geet and Maan... They've done it against the wall" she murmured.

"I know! I'm jealous of that. Because you need a heck of a lot of stamina and need to be physically fit" Amelia laughed. "I still can't believe she's knocked up. She's a bloody kid"

"A kid who's carrying a kid" Puja responded.

"I'm going to kill her and Meera for not telling me first when I get back"

"Before you go on a ranting session, let's change and watch a movie or something before going to sleep" Puja suggested to which Amelia agreed to.

As it neared around 6 in the evening, dadima suggested they all head home now as their dinner reservation is at 7.30pm to which everyone agreed to.

Ranbir thanked everyone for having him over for the picnic and left. Dadima asked him to join them for dinner however he'd already had plans with his family for the evening so he politely declined. Araina liked him even more, she pressed a kiss to his cheek and waved as he walked away. Karan drove back Araina and his mother to their house so they'd take a quick shower and join them at the restaurant at around half 7.

Everyone else returned to the Khurana mansion to get ready for the dinner.

Geet arched her brows when Maan pulled out the clothes he wanted Geet to wear.

"Wear it" he told her pressing a kiss to her lips. "Don't even think about saying what will others think"

"I wasn't going to" she chuckled taking the clothes and pressed herself closer to him. "I like what you've chosen"

"Good" he nodded. "C'mon let's shower then we'll change" he took the clothes placing them on the bed. "We've got over an hour" he looked at her mischievously.

"Maan..." she stepped back but he slipped his arm around her waist smiling down at her.

"They're waiting for you" she whispered as he pressed a kiss to her jaw.

"They're going to be taking time getting ready" he replied lifting her off her feet, both arms around her small petite frame, she looped her arms around his neck as he walked into the bathroom. "We've got more than enough time" he added teasingly.

"Dadima aapne bulaya?" Vikrant knocked on the door.

"Haan bete, come in" Dadima responded. "I've gotten this for Geet" she pointed. "It's from all of us" she told him. "With the money you and Maan gave" she added.

"Dadima bhabhi is going to love this" he smiled. "I've picked up the gift that you've ordered for bhai" he informed.

"They're both going to like them hopefully"

"They will, especially bhabhi. Thank goodness bhai had come up with this idea and didn't just buy it himself or else we would have been clueless and stuck"

"I agree" dadima nodded. "I'm looking forward to seeing Geet's reaction more" she chuckled.

"Bhabhi is going to love it" he laughed.

"What is it that crazy has given in this box?" Karan complained as he placed it into the trunk.

"Well I don't know, she only told me that we're supposed to deliver. It's only for Geet's eyes" Araina huffed. "Be careful, it might have something fragile"

Karan shook his head closing the trunk and climbed into the front. "Have you got everything?" he asked looking between his sister and mother.

"Yes, yes. Go" Anisha responded.

"Are we giving the presents before and after dinner?" Araina asked.

"After dinner, we'll all be going to their house after we have dinner" Anisha responded. "What have you bought for them?" she looked at Karan.

"You'll see when they receive it" he responded.

Dinner reservations were made at the new Paradise Delight restaurant that had opened recently in the centre of Delhi which was quite a hot spot for many.

Dadima had gotten Vikrant to book a table for 12 as Geet's mother and aunt were joining them also Meera's parents were coming for dinner as well.

Geet had donned on the black top and royal blue skirt Maan picked out for her, Maan had changed into a black jeans, white t-shirt then a black blazer.

Everyone enjoyed the evening as they ate and talked with one another, Meera's parents shared embarrassing stories about their daughter, dadima joined them telling everyone of Vikrant's embarrassing moments.

"Isn't this supposed to be about bhai and bhabhi? Why don't you share anything embarrassing about them?" Vikrant huffed.

"Maan doesn't have embarrassing moments like you" Dadima replied.

"You'll have to be careful seeing as you're going to be in the public eye" Karan informed. "I still can't believe you chose tv"

"TV leads to other opportunities" Vikrant responded. "Plus it's a steady income"

"You'll do great Vikrant, I'm going to watch you everyday so that your show TRP increases" Geet told him.

"Thanks bhabhi, why can't you all be as supporting as bhabhi?" Vikrant glanced around. "It's hard work but I am enjoying it" he told them.

"That's good, you want to work in a place that you'll enjoy" Dadima agreed.

The waiter appeared by the table as they finished their main course asking whether they'd like desserts, dadima declined as she'd already planned something at the mansion for desserts.

Maan glanced over at Geet as he parked up outside their mansion, he stepped out walking around and opened the door for her.

"Come with me" he laced their fingers together leading her to the side, Geet glanced around noting that the other cars were parked outside as well however no one was in sight.

"Where is everyone?" she questioned curiously. "Dadima..." she looked confused seeing them all gathered in a huddle at the side.

"Maan..." she looked up at him. "What's going on?"

Dadima smiled taking Geet's hand and leading her forward, Vikrant pressed the button and the door slid up. Geet swallowed thickly then gasped in surprise.

She gaped for a long silent moment then slowly turned to dadima.

"This is a gift from me, Maan, Vikrant and Meera" she informed.

"O...Oh..." Geet inhaled sharply blinking in surprise. "Oh my God..." she breathed heavily, she threw her arms around dadima and hugged her tightly.

Rano's eyes filled with happy tears seeing her daughter so blessed and so so happy.

Geet chuckled when dadima held out the key to her new red Mazda MX5 car.

"Thanks for getting something so great, now my gift will be looking crap" Araina broke up the moment seeing everyone silent and dreamy.

Dadima chuckled shaking her head. "Let's go inside, whatever everyone has brought I'm sure these two will love it" she gestured to the front door.

There were cakes on the coffee table with steaming coffee, tea and hot chocolate, dadima had instructed the help to have all these ready informing them they were on the way home.

Everyone settled in the hall grabbing themselves a piece of cake and hot drink.

"Who wants to give their gift first?" Vikrant glanced around.

"I'll give it" Araina volunteered. "Give me two minutes" she excused herself.

"It's probably crazy's present" Karan muttered.

"Whose?" Dadima inquired.

"Amelia gave me her gift to give as well" Araina joined them in the hall. "You can't open hers in front of everyone though" she told Geet. "This is hers" she placed it by Geet's feet then grabbed her gifts. "This is for you bhabhi and this is for you bhai" she placed them beside them.

Geet looked down at her gift and grinned. "I have my own hot chocolate cup now" she laughed and hugged Araina. "I love it" she looked at Maan who'd smiled at his cousin.

"Thanks Araina for the coffee hamper, it'd last me a year"

Araina lowered down hugging him tightly. "Happy anniversary bhai and you're very welcome" she pressed a kiss to his cheek.

She straightened and grabbed a small box. "This is from Araina for you, she said you can open hers"

"That's not fair, why can't I open mine?" Geet frowned.

"I don't know, she said you're going to regret it if you open it in front of everyone" Araina explained.

"Hmm... what did she get you?" she looked at Maan.

"I'll open hers afterwards" Maan responded.

"Why?"

"Because I don't trust your friend"

"Can I open it then?"

"We'll open it upstairs" Maan answered.

"She said you can open hers though"

"Pregnancy is making you challenging to handle" Maan told her.

"Dadima" Geet frowned crossing her arms.

"Maan bete" dadima chuckled. "Just open it"

Maan sighed unwrapping the paper and looked confused seeing a box. He opened it and pulled out a jar, reading the label he chuckled. That was probably the first time Geet's crazy friend had made him smile.

"So jeeju what did you want for your anniversary?" Amelia looked at Maan quizzically.

"Nothing" he shook his head, he didn't want anything especially from Geet's friend. God knows what she'd have in her mind. With all the stuff she'd taught Geet, it wouldn't surprise him if she done something similarly crazy. And he could do without that in his life.

He pulled out the card and read it.

"Seeing as you said nothing, you get nothing" she'd written in her cursive handwriting. "But you know I am not that mean in Geet's gift is something for you. She'll show you when she opens it"

Maan glanced over at the wrapped box that was beside Geet and was now curious to what she could've bought. He didn't think too much on it and placed the jar of nothing on the table smiling softly.

"That is so sweet, she got you what you wanted" Vikrant laughed.

"Yeah" Maan agreed smiling at Geet.

"I said I wanted books from her, did she give me books?" Geet questioned Araina.

"Bhabhi I honestly don't know, she's not told me anything" she laughed.

"Okay... I want a present to open now" Geet looked around.

"You want some more cake?" Meera asked noticing she'd finished her dessert.

"No thanks, I'm so full" she shook her head.

"This is mine" Karan pulled out a card handing it over.

"Gift voucher for books?" she raised her brows.

"It's for both of you" he responded "and this one here doesn't read books"

"Oh wow" Geet showed the voucher they'd received.

"What is it?" Araina asked curiously.

"Hot air balloon for two sunrise setting" Geet passed it to her then leaned forward "that could be the first of many of our things" she whispered.

"I'll just kill him first" Maan replied and narrowed his eyes at Karan.

"Why? It's going to be so nice" she frowned. "I've never been"

"Neither have I and I don't want to go" Maan murmured.

"Kyun?"

"Not now" he shook his head.

"Mujhe bataiye" she whispered. "Warna main zor se bolungi"

"Mujhe damki de rahi ho?" Maan turned to her surprised.

"Ji" she nodded.

"Geet" Maan started.

"Bataiye" she cut him off.

"I... I don't like heights. I'm very paranoid when it comes to such high heights"

"What..." Geet paused and slapped a hand over her mouth as she burst out laughing. Out of all the reasons he could've had, she didn't think of this.

"Kya hua?" Anisha questioned looking between Geet and Maan. Karan smirked realising why Geet was laughing, he chuckled seeing Maan mouthing curses and threats.

He responded with a thumbs up.

Once Geet had calmed down, Anisha handed her gift which was a set of cuff links for Maan and a white gold charm anklet for Geet after she learned from Araina that Geet loves her anklets. Geet squealed happily when she received a book gift voucher from her mother and aunt, Maan received a Rolex watch from them, he'd thanked them and taken their blessings. Meera's parents gifted them both an envelope with some money in as they hadn't known what to buy them.

"Right you've received our gifts bhabhi, what did you get for bhai?" Vikrant inquired.

"I'm not telling" Geet shook her head.

"C'mon bhabhi tell us" Araina prompted blinking her eyes innocently.

"What do I get someone who has everything?" Geet rolled her eyes. "Waise bhi Maan ko mujhe mila haina" she looked at her husband.

"Yes Geet, you're my greatest gift" Maan smirked.

"See" she laughed.

"That isn't right..." Vikrant huffed.

"Mine is upstairs so I'm not going to go up and get it"
"I'll go get it then, tell me where it is" Vikrant offered.

"No" Geet shook her head. "Waise bhi I'm tired now. It's almost 1am" she pointed.

"So much time has passed and we didn't even realise" dadima spoke standing to her feet as the others did. Slowly one by one, everyone took leave wishing Geet and Maan once more. Vikrant and Meera retired and headed towards the outhouse whilst dadima headed upstairs to sleep. Geet was heading towards their bedroom when Maan suddenly held onto her elbow. "Kya hua?" she glanced over.

"Come with me..." he told her and lead her down the hallway and towards the end room which she knew was unoccupied and did wonder why he was taking her towards that room.

"Close your eyes" Maan told her as they stood outside the room.

"Can't you just tell me?"

"I'll close them then" Maan placed his hand over her eyes and pushed open the door, he led her inside gently and switched on the lights.

"Ready?" he asked.

"Mmhmm" she hummed in response, her eyes fluttered open and her breath hitched in her throat. Maan had gotten the room decorated for her and made it her own little reading library. She turned throwing her arms around his neck thanking him.

"You like it?" he whispered.

"I love it so much" she brushed her lips against his and stepped back looking around the room, admiring it wholly.

The reading room was great for the both of them, they could enjoy watching tv here as well as read especially with the large bookshelf that was against the wall. Geet walked over behind the sofa and touched the window seat and smiled as she imagined sitting here during the day enjoying the bright sun and her book. Maan slipped both his arms around her resting his chin on her shoulder "Now I'll know where you are whenever you disappear" he chuckled.

It pleased her intensely that he knew how much she loved reading, not everyone understood her love for reading but he did. She turned around facing him and slipped her arms around his neck and tiptoed. "I love it so much. Thank you"

"You're very welcome"

She cradled his jaw and leaned up kissing him, his hands slid into her hair cupping her nape and he kissed her back hard.

"So what did you get?" Maan asked as they walked back to their room together.

Geet entered their walk in closet grabbing a box and joined Maan beside their bed.

"Open it" she pointed.

Maan ripped open the seal and laughed as he realised what it was. "Is that the first of our thing' you've got planned?" he asked as he lifted the tin from inside.

It held a voucher for movies, popcorn, a jar of candies and a jar filled with chocolates.

Maan noticed a white card inside the box and pulled it out.

"Date night ideas?" he looked at her amused.

"Mmhmm. Look we can tick off balloon ride from the list already as we're going to one soon" she pointed. "Movies or tv series we're going to do with our voucher" she added.

Maan knew most of these were for his benefit rather than hers, she wanted him socialising and having fun. His idea of fun usually meant spending time with Geet, but she wanted to break these walls he'd built around himself. He hadn't allowed anyone to be as close as dadima and Geet had been, one could say he'd forgotten how to socialise properly. Geet being supportive and showing it him meant a lot.

He'd wanted friends, he wanted to be able to have a good time like another other person at one point in his life however responsibilities got in the way and he'd ended up being alone and striving to succeed in life.

"Where are you lost?" Geet touched his cheek bringing him out of his thoughts.

"Nowhere" he smiled pressing a kiss to her palm. "It's very late now"

"Hmm I'm tired as w..." she paused noticing Amelia's wrapped up box. "Can I open hers now?" she asked.

Maan laughed and grabbed the box placing it on their bed. Geet unwrapped it excitedly, and Maan pulled out a hamper. Geet frowned unable to make much of it with the pink coloured cellophane paper so she untied the ribbon with Maan's help.

Their eyes widened, Geet felt her cheeks heat and Maan noticed her going all red in the face. Even he was flustered seeing what this gift was.

Amelia had gifted them a hamper which contained a Kamasutra book, a sexy lingerie, a jar filled with lip shaped candies and a DVD which they figured was a blue film.

Geet noted a card and opened it reading the message from Amelia.

So Geet you've opened my gift my innocent bacha.

I don't believe for one second that Maan jeeju had you against the wall, I highly doubt you've lost for virginity seeing as you're always blushing.

You're shy to even talk about SEX.

So this hamper from me is to mentally prepare you bacha

I wasn't that mean to jeeju so I got him a box of condoms as well, we don't want any silly mistakes for your first time. I was going to give Viagra but jeej is a hunk so I'm sure he'd have no problem ;)

Geet smacked her forehead and looked at Maan for a moment, they stared at each other and just laughed. It didn't surprise them much given Amelia's craziness.

"I hate her" Geet mumbled dropping the card and hiding herself in Maan's arms.

"I'm wondering how you two even became friends" Maan chuckled tightening his arms around Geet.

"Where can I throw those" Geet murmured glancing over at the hamper.

"We'll keep it hidden in our closet for now and discard it when no one is around. I don't want dadima looking at us all weird" Maan chuckled. "You can keep the candies and the book"

"I don't want that book!" she looked at him horrified which only made Maan laugh. "When she's back I'm going to kill her" she promised.

"Mmhmm. I'd like to see that" Maan responded gathering the hamper and placing it back inside the box, he sealed it and placed it in their closet.

After that little moment they called it a night and changed, Geet curled into Maan's arms resting her head on his shoulders and closed her eyes.

"Happy anniversary" Maan whispered pressing a kiss to her temple. She responded back softly and snuggled closer.

At the rate of how we're going, we're never going to hit page 50 😆

So I posted this chapter and I assure you, we better hit page 50 before I post chapter 102.
