Your opinion on Dance + and this season

Hey Guys,

I see a lot of difference from Season 1 to Season 4.Back then there was masti,though it was a competition it was more like awesome dance and concept and pure love for dancing but this season it's more like my team.The captains mostly give standing ovation to their team members be it Good/ok/Best.It's good to be supportive but at times to give good quality performances not just speeches but hardwork and concentration needs to be put in.

With the renewal of seasons the quality is going down.Poor Raghav hardly speaks.There was no need of Bhabhi.I love Sugandha but she is actually not needed here since everything is set right.Raghav teasing Shakti was to a limit and maybe one/two instances things might have come up due to the masti in the situation but Sugandha's dialogues(scripted/impromptu) is a little bit too much(my POV).

Coming to the outfits I feel Shakti over the seasons has been wearing exposing one's.I understand and respect that it's her choice and she likes her freedom/likes it that way but still it gets a little too much to watch her onscreen.She used to wear western only on sets and even during rehearsels or outing depending on the place her outfits were atleast good.

SP is changing the D+ concept into more of trps and drama now.Last season Aryan was the best and was always consistent unlike Bir who did have not so good performance.Although I like both I felt this was another SP rigged season just like S1 & 2.

I also doubt if Shakti's team will win this time because when she had a strong team of dancers and choregraphers she got the 3rd and 4th place.This season there isnt much consistency.Not just her but D and P as well.

PS:Im a Shaks fan since DID2 and have voted for her crazily back then.I like D as well but Remo is partial towards D and P leaving Shaks alone.I kniow he's a judge and is aware of what he's doing but what's done is done(my POV)

I totally agree with your view on Raghav and Bhabi. Sugandha was not needed at all since Raghav is an entertainment package himself. Her aarti thing is getting repetitive. I do like her when she teases D and P tho.

The show was good for me till the wild card round. Now that Remo chose top 10 instead of 8, the show is on a time crunch. They don't even show Captain's comments and Remo's comments are also rushed. Last week I saw a promo of Shakti's comment on Aanchel but it was edited out from the main episode. The captains are not giving scores doesn't mean their comments are not important! Remo's comments are also very blunt and he looks disinterested.

I really think there should've been elimination after two weeks. There is no point of keeping all contestants and rushing through performances and comments. Also some contestants get a lot more praise than others and that pisses me off.

Legends week is irritating as they spend 30 mins with them and have 30 mins to show 5 performances with 0 entertainment. Half of the celebs look bored and disinterested whatsoever.

Also if you look closely, four performances got double pluses last week and after each performance there was no standing ovation and everyone just looked dead inside. I'm pretty sure it's the editing team that's need to pull it together.

Overall, despite having the best dancers this season is terrible.

After long time, I read a very strong opinion 👏

Here is my thoughts on this -

1. Sugandha is very talented artist, no doubt, but she wasn't needed here. Raghav alone is enough

Sometimes her teasing goes above the line, like with remo

2. Remo, being partial ,I don't know about that ,but I feel shakti gets less credit or praise .but look at positive side, even though her artists haven't won ,but still they are doing something very good .she makes her Artists shine ,which helps them in future definitely

3. About shakti dresses, I don't think it's up-to her, because I have saw her getting uncomfortable in those dresses, she always tries to cover her up like in d+3 song shoot, first episode ,even now and they should take in her comfort level too, before making dresses. Like last season finale, she was given full backless gown, and she wasn't comfortable .They should think about her too. It's not always about glamour.

4. This season is worst in terms of editing, pathetic editing

Ya I miss Raghav as Bhabhi takes up his time. He is fine by himself.

About the bias thing I felt is occasionally but I feel the channel is more bias. Bir winning S3 I was like sure thats fine he was not my first choice but I was okay with it. BUT when he won Dance Champions that was not fair. (Dance Champions was only redeemed by Raghav)

I also dont think Shakti will win maybe with Rishab it possible we cant really determine till we know which way the votes will go. Idk the channel will focus on who fits their idea of the theme (#bestsobstory)

I dont mind emotional drama but sometimes it gets too much. But these people actually have a sad story I was watching an American dance reality show and the girl was crying and when the judges asked why it is because she broke up with her boyfriend 😕

Trust me more than time crunch it's what SP wants to show.They concentrate more on other stuff than the performance/captains comments.

They know that the Super judge and Captain's comments are imp so they either chop it off or they are been asked to comment what SP wants to.Like someone mentioned in my other post I guess that few contestants get praised way too much.

Also this time the shooting is for a day unlike last year the 2 epi shooting that happened for 2 days where everyone looked alive and active unlike now who get tired by the end of the day.

They could have had 1 week to perform their best and the immediate next week with eliminations.

Finally someone who agrees with me.

1.Agree,she crosses her line.

Raghav was enough to tease everyone.He's a complete package.Whenever they had someone join Raghav for finale I was like it wasn't needed at all.You will get your trps irrespective of others joining him.

2.Agree with you,I too used to think of the same.But biasing isnt good right.If you dont really like that person then get youre fav person as the caption replacing her.

3.Yeah but this season I felt she has gotten a bit comfy,Im sorry cos this is what I felt but if she is uncomfy even now then she should speak up.Girl power to be shown here.Also I dont understand the need for such outfits.Dude its a dance reality show not a fashion show,what are u trying to show ur viewers?Also this show is getting down on reality show and moving towards SP's nonsense.Honestly when the show started I was like will this show atleast live up or follow the trend but there you go.

There are many people watching for the love of pure dance and if this rona dhona every epi continues then they might have problems later.

4.True that.Trust me I was ok with the rigged concept,chopping of imp stuff like performances and comments but this season is getting on my nerves.I always watched D+ repeats on Hotstar and this season I watch the main epi itself online except for the first 30-40mins on TV

Trust me biasing comes from both ends.Remo is always like D and P and SP would have instructed Remo and the captains(maybe) to overpraise an artist bcos they already have a winner(usual trp and drama).My heart went out to Bir for everything he went through but repeating the same every week is bit too much.Boss,we get it that he went through a lot.Be it the saree or anything they could talk about it off camera but onscreen nit needed.

And Dance champions was a mess be it from its format to everything but Raghav was the highlight inspite if Ridhima.

I really felt atleast this season we have awesome artists but a let down with D Core and House of moves only bcos it was a contemp group and a crew from Chennai resp.Im not against any artist here but he selected these 2 not giving an opportunity for other 2 artist who deserved.No doubt any artist who join team D always perform well.

Oh well I dont think there has been any consistency in perf by any contestant.is it the teams fault?contestants fault or SP rigged this as well since they had their winner already?

Exactly my point.I sympathize all those contestants and my heart goes out to them as well as my well wishes but over the top stuff is irritating.

Also we all know where the contestants stand post D+ pls stop asking such questions.Also we know who is a better dancer

All I ask is I can ignore the rigged part even the chopping off of imp parts fir that reason even Raghav being sidelined to an extent but no good dance perf's hits me hard and I dont buy that these cap's cant deliver consistency or the contestants.

Happy that Dance Champions isnt renewed

@Janu808 Yes I completely agree that they do have a sob story.Yes it's very emotional to see such stories.

Also I was very happy and wanted Vartika(To prove girls are no less),Chetan(Wants to help his parents financially),Aanchel(financially low family),V Unbeatable(To fulfil their friend's dream) to get selected in Top 8.

It's really sad to see such stories and I sympathy them but then if you constantly go on with it that irritates.

SP is using such weakness against people by showing emotional drama which gets the viewers attention and also words are always powerful so what people say in front if the camera that catches attention.

All I say is that if you really wanna get such emotional drama on and on again why select others?Instead have only these people and let the best sad story background artist win.This way you aint giving hope to other contestants.

The first thing I felt when D paid rent and sorted out things for Aanchel's family's shelter was God bless you D.What you did is a real big thing but you dont have to show all that on camera.Also with that party thing it gets a little too much.

They say if you wanna help do it such that it doesnt catch attention bcos you aint doing it to seek attention but your will to help someone.That needs no disclaimer or show off that Oh my God through D+ such things happen which is all known to people.

And these votes and stuff is just a cover up to show ,you know what we arent biased but eventually your results show up in the finale.

Being a dance lover all I expected was good performances which had good concepts and creativity which showed their love for dance but this season disappointed me big time with it.I can also digest all the favouritsm but having such awesome artists and no consistency hits me hard.

Im not sure how much SP rigged in terms of performances too.If this continues I'd happily back out and this is the second reality show after DID that I will right after S4.As much as I wanted this season to return Im just too pissed.
