Bhadrasal was a very important military commander of the Nandas. He also looked after the internal security. Important enough to have his own private army funded through his own sources of revenue (after giving a cut to the Nandas). As per need he would send his army in campaigns which the Nandas would undertake.

This needed an actor with good screen presence and a guy whom Dhananand respects(like Amatya Rakshas), not someone who is a lackey as shown in this show.
