Mr. Roberts looked at Arnav's pale face and looked worried. He also had hope that Arnav would find her in the Temple where she would go sometime, but Arnav simply shook his head and through ragged breaths, he managed. "She is not there either. Where did you see her last time."
"She was in your study." Mr.Roberts looked worried also and said in bit accusing tone. " Did you upset her Arnav? She tried to hide from me, but I knew she had been crying?"
Arnav swallowed hard and his eyes glittered with unshed tears that had come there because of anger and worry. In agony he rasped out. " So, we had a fight. But that doesn't mean she should leave me like this without saying a word. She could have waited, she could have shouted at me, be angry at me, hit me , fight with me, but she should not have left me like this." He almost choked saying those things feeling utterly helpless.
"Did you call her friends, maybe she went to their place?" Mr.Roberts suggested and Arnav was running back to his study to check once again, trying to find clues what she was doing there earlier and making few calls.
Ever since he had come home an hour ago, he had lost his capacity to think, when he couldn't find Khushi anywhere in sight. Like a mad person, he went combing through the entire house and when he thought he would lose it completely, he had called Mr.Roberts and the security team. If Khushi had snuck out, his security team would find it pretty soon.
Back in his study, his legs almost gave away as he got a whiff of her lingering scent and he cried out in agony. " Oh Khushi, please come back." And then he almost lost his balance and sat down on the chair before his knees give away as he saw a letter addressed to him. He sat there staring at the letter, scared to open it, for he didn't want to find its content. Drawing few painful breaths he opened the letter and he felt his entire world crumbling around him. First came disbelief, then pain and anger when he roared crushing the letter in his hand. "How dare you decide to leave me, Khushi?"
But his last emotion left him shaken the most and that was fear. Fear for her safety. Fear that something had happened to her. If something happened to her...Feeling shaken to the core, he was unable to finish the thought, when his head of security came back. " Boss, Khushi Madam came by the Taxi around 1230 and she called for another Taxi at 2pm. We have Taxi's number and trying to locate it."
Arnav nodded gravely. The sooner they find his wife the better. And for Khushi once she is back, he would never let her go, he would never give her a reason to leave him. He made a promise to himself as he stared at the crumbled piece of paper where she had finished everything between them.

I know the ones who have read the last Chapter are anxious to know what is happening in the next. This is a small excerpt. I may make some changes into it later...
