New Arshi OS - Let Loose
She climbed up the stairs slowly with no rush. A tune running in her mind, now sung loudly and the words from the song echoing only to her. The chimes hit her head and she dint bother about the little scratch on her forehead. She maintained the calm in her whole body and mind.
She was here in this building which is hers, after a very long time. Why was she here first of all?. Her fingers found the key which was hidden under the flower pot. A cute little smile on her lips and the naughtiness running on her mind thinking about those days.
Those days where she was not answerable for anything in the world. It was her and only her. Nothing else was important. She came here, to this place which had so many memories of hers arrested in the walls, paintings, the windows, the figurines, the plants and the trees, the stairs, the chimes, the balcony, the railings, the coffee mugs, the books and the TV and what more.
A day is what she wanted to be free, scratch that care free and let loose. Nothing mattered today and tomorrow. She will be the one who is the same yet different as of today.
How time changes, life changes, perspective changes. This thought didn't bother her today. It was the aspiration to feel it again, the rush in the thoughts, the feel of high in the making of life days etc.
She entered the house. Located on the first floor with lots of pots with all sorts of indoor plants giving a warm welcome. Those flowers spreading the fragrance in the air naturally. She found the switch and let it on. The bulbs spreading the brightness in a very subtle way. The house came to life.
She went to the library and rocked the old grandpa chair. It rocked and creaked. She loved the sound of it. She opened the cupboard and inhaled the smell of them. The books. The smell of the old paper. She loved it. Her fingers touch the books. How many memories of hers were concealed with the books and the room and the things from there?
Her foot found the kitchen and smell of freshly pound coffee beans kept in the filter aroused her nostrils. She gives a small smile by looking at the coffee mugs. Her eyes land on the fridge door. The paintings and the stickers and the little yellow stickers for reminders takes her memories to somewhere for a second and comes back to the same place with in a second.
And she swears on herself with a bad cursing word to change her thoughts. She switches off her mobile and takes a tablet and changes her attire into a very comfortable one and falls on her bed. The smell of the blanket reminds of so many things. But she pushes them away and channelizes her mind for one thing, only the one thing. She wants her soul to be calm. She trains her mind and thoughts for the same and tries to sleep.
The thought of her continuous alarms in the phone and the continuous reminders of the to-do list from the task manager doesn't bother her today or tomorrow. With that in mind she gets into a deep slumber. The tiredness from the previous days drifts her into a deep sleep immediately.
Oops.. She wakes at early morning at 4 o' clock automatically. Though she channelized her mind, she couldn't control her internal mental clock. She realizes that not today and gets back to her sleep.
The smell of the fresh coffee, the sound of the birds chirping from the nearby tree, the sound of the milk man yelling at the neighbor, the creaking sound of the rusted cycle wheel of the newspaper boy, the smell of the jasmines and the roses, the meows of the little kittens and the woofs of tommy didn't bother her today.
She woke up at 11.00 am. Her eyes half open, her legs goes to the washroom and she looks herself at the mirror. She smiles, she giggles, and she laughs like a lunatic louder and very louder. She was mad. Mad to the core.
She had this freedom today. Not to bother about anything. She gets fresh and comes to the kitchen. Prepares the coffee. Strong filter coffee and finds her biscuit from that place. That place. Where she hides all her stuff. A big smile creeps now. She finds her Marie biscuit and taking a sip of the coffee and biting the bikki after a dip she reminisces the bitter and sweet sensation hitting her tongue with a loud moan.
She settles herself in the balcony garden chair and scans through the newspaper for naam ka vaaste. Hunger strikes but she utters f and opens her ward robe.
An idea strikes her mind. She gets her Nikon SLR and sets on the stand on auto mode and mixes matches and combines with the weirdest taste in fashion and gets herself clicked. So much fun in that, wasn't it .. She thinks to herself.
Those clothes and the colors and the hues and the prints. How much life has changed? Again her mind tries to get diverted. But she pulls it back.
She wears her multicolored lehenga and pairs it up with a white shirt. And the shirt which belonging to her someone. She could feel the smell from it. She could feel the hands crawling and making patters on her body. F.. again she swears. Leaving her hair loose, she lets the music system on with the remote. Those color full disco lights at the day time ..Doesn't make any sense. To bring the life on it, she closes the curtains and switches off the light.
The music playing bit louder. The rhythm swaying in her body and mind. She shakes her hip up and down, round and round. Her hands and legs shaking accordingly. The scarf and the long earrings dancing accordingly. Those sneakers thumping with loud thuds. The ear phone and her sun glasses would giving competition for the latest DJS. Yup.. She carried that attitude in her.
Her tummy growls as it was noon. Should she switch on the mobile or No.? She thinks. She settles in for yes and opens the app Swiggy and orders all her favorite food. How much she can eat?. Doubt it. How much she cannot eat? That was the right choice of question.
She ate very little but had the love for food and take a dig and taste all the food. She ordered all her favorites and it came in a jiffy.
The fashion show and the disco session ended. The dining table was now having the largest spread of food. Bon- appetite she tells herself and digs in. She moans after each and every bite.
It was evening. She rides her scooter in her street. Never bothers to say hello to the old neighbors. She rides to the deserted area. The outskirts may seem creepy. But that gave her the peace. She felt the evening breeze hit her face. It was sweet November. She thinks of Charlize and Keanu. She thinks of some one.
The southern parts depression giving an effect to the place where she lives. She loves those pitter patter drops dew falling on her face. The white scarf of her kali dress flying in the wind. She tastes those drops of water with her tongue. After a while she climbs those stairs and runs to the small temple on the top of the mountain. She sits in the wall and looks at the bottom of the land scape.
The Sun saying good bye and the clouds turning dusky and the wild wind reminding her to go home, she comes in a jiffy with the usual pattern of counting 121212 down the steps. She hits back to the road and packs those sweet aloos pakodas with the spicy chutney and returns home.
A night full of her favorite movies. Tangled, Toy story, Twister, Independence Day, Bombay, Indian, Alien, CSI, and House. Her mind boggles with N number of options. She finally settles in for House binge. Dinner she eats the afternoon left overs. Sleeps with the TV running.
The next day too she does the same. Till the clock hits 12:00 am.

He was in his tattered jeans paired with a white T-shirt. He wore his leather jacket, hung his guitar on the back and hands went on to cover the eyes with his aviators. Those sneakers giving him and speaking him all about his cool attitude. He rode his bike towards the club in the early hours of the morning.
All friends settled for beer and chats. He ate the road side dhaba food which no hesitation.
Clicked pictures of everything which captured his thought which had substance in the noon.
He clicked the pictures of the buffalo herd, the pigs in the swamp, the women carrying the wood for evening fire, the clear clouds in the sky, the heron chewing the fish near the shores of the river Kaveri. Those children care free playing with the cycle wheels and jumping from the big rock into the shallow water pits and the women chatting outside the their homes with so much of innocence and purity caught his attention.
The gang of his together rode on the mountain top and enjoying the campfire with booze and music with a tangdi held in his hand enjoying the spice of the food took him to another world.
He smelt the fire and enjoyed the warmth and the colors from the same. Wished if she was there with him. Nope not today.
It was the same for him. To let loose. He danced weirdly for the local people singing with their local instruments and had finally a beedi borrowed from the watch man. Enjoyed curd rice and finally settled for a loud and undisturbed sleep on the floor with a small pillow.
He was the same guy who would be appearing in the page 3 with three piece tailored suit. Today he let loose himself. No commitments, no responsibilities. Care free was the mantra for today and tomorrow.
The next day too he did the routine in a different way.
Finally the clock clucked 12.00am and his legs found their way to the room of that building.

It is an independent villa located in one of the Porsche layouts. Constructed with the latest trends and design. Three floored with a swimming pool and play zone and an up to date gymnasium.
They could feel some body hugging them. He hugged her and she hugged him.
The little hands which were hugging each other took sudden turn and hugged the nearby lying bodies and cocooned into them for the warmth and love. God they both missed them. Letting loose for a day or two- was planned a year before. They needed that. They could rejuvenate back to be, themselves.
It was required as both were working and one among the top known people. They went in letting loose for a day, away from them, each other, from their loved ones. Just to be themselves.
These 24 hrs didn't make them feel guilty. It actually brought back more love. The distance brought them back together more closer.
They hugged the little ones. The little ones cuddled into the warmth of the other. The white curtains dancing in the air because of the ghostly wind, didn't bother any.
All four dressed in white the let loose on Monday too. Even the children needed to let loose for a day with their parents.
The father played haathii and mother played goda for little Vidhu and Vihaan. They were 2 year old twins.
Mother lifted Vihaan and threw him in the air. Vidhu was playing hide and seek with Daddy by hiding herself behind him.
The toys thrown everywhere, Mom chased Dad in the garden. He splashed water from the tube on her and she came to pour a bucket of water on him. The children giggling and teasing dad and mom with their own sweet language.
The gods would envy by seeing such a sight.
Happy they were. They would live happily ever after.
