There is always a difference when a friend has something bad to comment / abuse you and another whom u don't befriend says the same...and here there is no.comparison between wat both said..

That's an exaggeration. It wasn't character assassination or implying cheating since no one believes that thing.

They didn't think that far. It's just mocking their closeness (or reason for) that if Dipika's husband were on the show, she'd probably prefer to hang out with Sree for footage. It's again a joke on Dipika's supposedly fake relationship with Sree, that whatever she does on the show is for the show and not genuine so much so that she'd ditch actual relationships to get ahead.

They could do that joke with a "sister"

It was not the best phrase to use since it is normally used in a romantic connotation but I highly doubt they were thinking of infidelity.
