Chapter 1:
Somewhere in Australia, a woman is sipping her coffee with a letter in her hand... She was reading it carefully and sight at the end. She looks at the marvelous landscape... She came to Sydney ten years ago, with nothing apart memories, sadness, and pregnancy. She came here to forget her past and start a new life with her baby, her ray of hope. Her baby was now 10 years old, she is her world, her happiness, her weakness. She has raised her daughter alone and is proud of her. She was happy with her world but now she has to come again to her native country... Although she knows Mumbai is a big City, but she doesn't want her daughter to face the same humiliation she got from her biological dad, but this conference is important too. It's her dream to build a hospital for needy people and now that she became a renowned gynecologist, she can't back off. With a loud breath she makes few calls and decide to wake her baby doll up. She enters into a dark room and open the curtains, the sunrays make their entry and disturbs the princess sleep, and at the same occasion shows the pinky rooms with different photos of them together.
- Uffo mumma, why did you open the curtains? said her taking a pillow on her face
- Because you need to wake up, we have to go somewhere
- Really where?
- ... India she said with a pause
- India? But why?
- I need to go for a conference, remember mumma dream project?
- Yes, but I don't want to go there, and I don't want you to go there... What if they hurt you again?
Mauli smile at her daughter and take her in her embrace then said
- My dear daughter, I didn't do anything wrong to be hidden from them... They must be ashamed not us... I'm doing my work and you will discover where your mom was born.
- Mumma what if we meet them?
- You don't need to bother about them, so?
- As you wish mumma, I will make my luggage... BTW how much time will we stay there?
- I don't know yet, but don't take a lot ... we will buy once we will be there.

With that Mauli and her daughter make their arrangement to go to India. Mauli's daughter know all about Mauli's past. She didn't hide anything apart who is her father... She never told her who Kunal is, his look like anything and she didn't ask either. It's not that Mishty hate her dad but she doesn't like him thought. They were ready to go off, before that Mauli makes few calls and Mishty informs her friend that she is going for a long vacation.
The flight takes 12 hours and Mishty was sleeping, she wakes her up and did all the emigration paper, and they were set to go out. A taxi took them to their hotel, Mishty was sleepy and didn't pay attention to anything, she just drifts into her sleep in a couch of the Hotel. Mauli smile at her daughter and take her to their suite.
She makes her daughter sleep and change into a night suit, she watch the landscape and remember her past.
"TEN YEARS, ten years that I didn't forget what they did to me... This day I was so much hurt, he told me to swear that I'm not pregnant... At this moment, I understand that he is no more mine, he is no more the man I love, and he is not more the man whom I want to spend my whole life. This day I want to be away from him, he gave me the divorce paper and disappeared from us... Dida and Mumma beg me to tell him that I'm pregnant, but why? I don't want him to take my child and me as a responsibility, I'm an independent and strong woman, I will raise my child without him. The next day he came to our house with Nandini, they were married and ask Dida and Mumma their blessings. I was shocked and hurt, they didn't wait to get married... I didn't say anything, I just wait the night and I take my leave from this house. I know Dida and mama would support me, but I don't want them to be apart from their son. I took all my belongings and left all my married things here and a letter for mama and Dida.
Next day Mishty wake up early and watch her mom sleeping beside her. She loves her mom a lot and won't let anyone to harm her again, even if this someone is her biological dad. He is just a dad for the paper sake not in real...
"He left my mom when she needed him the most, she makes her cry and sometimes she still cries for someone who don't deserve her. If one day I meet him, I will tell him his 4 truths.
I love you mumma and I won't let this man to enter again in our life. I don't want anything from him, I just want us to be happy, and this happiness is not in India. Our world is not here, our house is not here.
Mauli wakes up and found her daughter playing with her phone. She kisses her daughter and tickle her and then they freshen up and go down for their breakfast.
After the breakfast, Mauli's secretary gave her, her appointment for the day. It will be a hectic day for them, so Mauli ask the secretary to find a babysitter for her daughter so that she can visit Mumbai in the afternoon.
All was set and Mauli and her daughter goes to the clinic to meet the chief of the clinic and discuss about the detail for the conference.
Mishty goes to a park with her babysitter and plays with other child. She was very happy despite being in India. She was playing when she unintentionally jostles a little girl. The little girl falls and was a little hurt. -
Oh I'm really sorryShe helps her to stand up when her mom came running to her and diagnostic her well to ensure that she isn't hurt badly. Mishty smile a little and thought "
Every mom is same- Don't worry she is fine, and I'm really sorry I should have watched my way
The lady looks at Mishty and smile

- BTW I'm Mishty and you?
- I'm Pari and this fearful lady is my mother Nandini
- Oh I think every mom is same, because even if my mom is a doctor, when I have a little bruise on me she will make a mountain for nothing. Pari do you want to join us ?
Pari looks at her mom and ask for permission. Nandini nods but before ask the girls to come with her for the snack. Mishty goes to her babysitter and tell her she was with them and ask her to join them. - So Mishty where do you live?
- In Australia
- Oh you are here for vacation but where is your mom?
- Mumma is here for a conference so she appoints a babysitter so that I'm not bored
- Oh then you can to our house whenever you want... Pari is alone at home also, her dad works at hospital and I have my own restaurant in Mumbai.
- I will ask mumma and will tell you... Please can you give me your phone number? Nandini give her phone number and bid bye to Mishty.
AT THE CLINIC
Mauli finish her talk with the chief of the clinic and tell her about her ideas. Despite they were not totally agree with her view, she was asking to talk with another doctor here. Her secretary takes her to the service and ask her to wait in the lobby. Her secretary came and tell her that the doctor goes for lunch and will return after 2 hours. She nods and call Mishty and tell her to come to XYZ restaurant.
They eat together and Mishty spot Pari. Mishty tell Mauli that she meets a girl today and they became friends, and she also told her that she is here. Mauli turns herself and spot the girl. She was with a man maybe her dad. Mauli gave her the authorization to go and meet the girl, meanwhile she has to make a call in Australia. Mishty goes to Pari and Pari make the presentation
- Mishty meet my handsome buddy cum papa and dad meet Mishty cum the girl whom I met earlier with mumma at the park.
It's revealed to be Kunal, Mishty biological father.
- Hi Mishty, Pari says a lot about you. Before they can talk further, Mauli's secretary come and ask Mishty to come along, because her mom have to go. Mishty bid bye to them and head to the taxi. Mauli smile at her daughter while talking to an investor. Mauli takes Mishty to the babysitter and goes back to the clinic.
She waits for the doctor, when the secretary asks Mauli to come and wait in the cabin till the doctor came, she gets a call from Paris. It was important, so she takes the call and collide with someone, she says "sorry" and start to talk on the phone.
After 30 mn of call she come again and goes to the cabin. The doctor was waiting for her and she enter the cabin. Mauli looks at the man before her unaffected but the opponent person was shocked and surprised to see Mauli after 10 years, that too in his cabin.
- Doctor Malhotra, I'm doctor Mauli DIXIT, I think the chief of your service told you my coming?
- Hum... yes but he didn't say the name of the person
- Maybe it's for good... Whatever, I need to discuss with you about tomorrow conference, I've already checked with the chief of the clinic, he is not ok with some of my ideas, but I talk with an investor he is ready to contribute and I myself is giving half of the amount for this project. So for the finance is ok, but we need competent doctor who will help us with this project and work with us.
- What you want me to do?
- You tell me ? what do you want to do ?
- I'm not working on the weekend, I can come and work but with a condition.
- Shoot?
- I will work in the morning but the afternoon I can't.
- Ok we will find someone who will be ready to take the responsibility... if it's all I think we can end the meeting?
- Yes of course
- I will ask my lawyers to be in contact with you... You have to sign some document, just to be assured about your commitment, so that you cannot run off after...
Kunal knows she is saying that because of her past. She is still angry at him, but she was polite and mature like always. She was more beautiful than before, she was not the same Mauli. The Mauli before him is stronger, more herself.
- It was nice to meet you Mauli
- Pleasure not shared Doctor Malhotra
Mauli was going out but then stop and says - And for you it's doctor DIXIT, not Mauli, we didn't share anything so that you can be familiar with me.
With these words she goes out and hurriedly goes to her hotel. She was not affected by Kunal not anymore, but the scars they left in her is too deep to be repair. She has to fight alone to be where she is, and she will not them destroy her dream and her world. Mishty came to her and she compose herself. She smile at her daughter, and Mishty start to tell her journey and then says : - Mumma, Pari's mom invite us in her home for dinner? Can we go?
- We don't know them, it will be awkward
- Please mumma, Pari is my only friends in India, and you told me to visit Mumbai, so please please please...
- Ok ok we will go, call them and as the address, tell them we will react after one hour.
- Thank you mumma
After 30 mn, Mauli was dressed and prepare Mishty with a jean and top. The taxi waits for them downstairs and Mishty gave the address. During all the drive, Mauli was thinking about her past, her life before and after Nandini. Between all her thought, she didn't notice they reached, and it was the same building where she once lived her fairytale which turns to her bad nightmare. She didn't pay a heed and Mishty push the button of the lift and the lift open on...
