From Apurva's IV and some articles what I am understanding is colors might be planning to shift BP to voot, this shows that they are aware of the online popularity of the show and wants to take full advantage of it. They want to grab the online audience as well, in business language I would say they are planning to move to a new market with an existing product. However I wanna know how beneficial will it be for the show and the channel?
One can't deny the fact that the norms are changing and people nowadays actually prefer internet over tv and I am actually more satisfied with the online trp chart rather than the barc trp chart not only because BP is always there in top5 but because some really good shows like yudkbh and yeh pyar nahi toh Kya hai were there too. But will moving to VOOT be a good idea for the pH? I actually don't know much about India's online business but I do see big stars like sanaya, ronit roy, Mona, Rajeev khandelwaal doing web series.

I am actually one of those twitterians who is a part of the trend and doing everything to save the show but I also want to know about the alternatives. So can any kind soul please let me know how is this idea of moving the show to VOOT?

Moving a show completely on web portal is not feasible in terms of money. You would have to work with shoestring budget to go web. Because web is still not that popular in India. And definitely not voot. Other platforms like hotstar is much more established. So that's why it depends on Jen and HC as if they can go to web because their fees will be cut to half and if they are willing to do that. They are one of the highest paid actors on tv right now. Also I don't know if they can generate as much revenue through web to make a profit so it also depends on the PH if they are ok with maybe not raking in a lot of moolah. Here in the US too there are esptablished platforms like Hulu and Netflix amazon prime that make original content but have a high subscription rate which offsets their costs. Maybe in future we might see the same in India but still we have a long way to go.

ONline would be much better ..and content wise also they can up their game and don't have to stick to what the vast majority of prudish indian audience would approve ..but I highly doubt Jenny and HC will consent to this ..fingers crossed they do ..and we get a proper run for this show!

Amazon Prime and Netflix are popular in India, hungama Tv is equally famous.
Just like tv ekta has carved her own space in the digital arena . For hindi soap operas, Hotstar is more better than all platforms. Voot is good for youth based reality programmes.

Ronit, Mona Singh, Apurva are doing Alt Balaji series. Ronit Roy also sells ayurvedic herbs on tv, he takes up anything. Does films too.

Moreover payment structure is totally unorganized and content needs to be bold if the storyline has leads with good chemistry . If one is okay with everything still remuneration isn't good.

They may go for weekend slot too. I bet that would get them great TRP since on weekend there are reality shows at most.
As far as online is concerned I don't know how feasible will it be for them since online and TV are two completely different platforms. Payments also matter in online especially if online is being served free without payment for the premium content. For Altbalaji, EK takes online subscription on the annual basis.
They might end up making BP a premium show to cover cost on Voot.
But online still pays less as comparison to TV, unless you are associated with Netflix or Amazon prime which earn quite well. Can't say the same about Voot though.

Either Bepannaah should:

1. End gracefully in 2 weeks

2. Get an extension till March and it becomes a weekend show

No voot because it's not available for international viewers, being a high budget show it's not possible they may face another financial loss and Jenshad won't get the recognition they deserve if it's online coz voot is not as big as hotstar and other digital platforms

Don't know about online business. But television is a much better medium. As it's the medium through which one can reach the masses, though the rural audience won't prefer Bepannaah.
I feel television is a better way to earn revenue than web series. Bepannaah should try to take the weekend slot or the prime time to garner TRPs. But, with the channels interference that eat away one week with celebrity dance and others. I don't know how far Bepannaah will go with Colors. Voot not available to international audience hence I think hotstar is the better option if it has to go online
